Hold On, I'm Coming
Template:Afc maybe Hold On, I'm Coming is a song written by Sam and Dave in 1965. It is a song inspired by Sam's anxiousness while Dave was trying to take a dump in their downtown Los Angeles apartment. Dave had eaten a large burrito prior to arriving back at Sam's apartment from a local and questionable mexican restaurant, and upon entering, had to use the restroom. Sam remembered that he had a doctor's appointment only a few minutes after entering his apartment and tried to get Dave to leave with him, yelling at him loudly in the middle of his restroom visit. Dave replied with the standard phrase that would become their greatest hit and ultimately be an anthem for all in the middle of taking a dump, "Hold On, I'm Coming."

St. Andrew's Catholic School (Newtown, Pennsylvania)
St. Andrew's Catholic School is an American, Catholic parochial school, located in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania for children from preschool through the eight-grade. According to its mission statement, its goal is to:
"...to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, in order to empower its students to live the message of the Gospel...The faculty and staff work together to create a loving atmosphere that fosters and maintains the spiritual, social, and academic needs of its students..." 1
In addition to the student body, students who attend local public schools also come to St. Andrew's for religious education classes.
History
Founding (1927)-1953
St. Andrew's School was first founded in 1927, when the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary agreed, at the request of Reverend John T. Brady, to run the school in August of that year. The original class consisted of only 47 students and 2 Sisters to teach. The original facility was located opposite of the Old Church just outside of Newtown Borough. It contained four classrooms. 2
1957-1993
In 1957, the original building was extended, adding four classrooms. In 1959, students from Assumption B.V.M., another Catholic school in Feasterville, Pennsylvania for half the year until they could attend classes at their own facilities. 2
1993-Present
During the school year from 1993-1994, St. Andrew's had its largest class since its founding, consisting of 615 students, with others put on a waiting list. The parish of Saint Vincent DePaul accomodate some of the students; the school used the basement at the parish rectory to teach students in preschool and kindergarten. 6 "modular classrooms" 2 were put on the playground as well to help accomodate the larger-than-usual class size. 2
On September 24, 1993, St. Andrew's Parish current pastor, Reverend Michael Picard, announced that a new school would be built. Construction began with ground-breaking ceremonies on October 17, 1993. On January 9, 1995, the kindgergarten through eigth grade classes moved to the new school. The school cost 4.5 million $US to build, and was the first new Catholic school built in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in 25 years. It was designed to have a maximimum capacity of 750 students. Between 1998 and 2000, the school was expanded to accomodate a maximum 1000 students, the current enrollment level at the school. 2
The old building that was used to teach all classes became the new site of preschool education; it offered a variety of teaching styles until 2003, when the Montessori teaching style was eliminated. 2 During the 2005-2006 school year, it was announced that the original building had become too antiquiated to continue using; roof leaks were cited specifically. The building was sold to developers, and the students currently attending were moved the main school, beginning in the 2006-2007 school year. It is unsure what the old St. Andrew School building's use will be. citation needed.
Activities
Athletics
St. Andrew's currently offers three athletic activities, in addition to its mandatory physical education program. Teams compete in Region 19, one of several regions in the Philaelphia Archidocese CYO. Football is available to students in kindergarten through eigth grade. In the third grade, students are eligible to try out for the school's "region" team, a select team that competes on a higher level than others. During the 2005-2006 school year, the boys varsity region team, which consisted of players in the 7th and 8th grades, won their Archdiocesan playoffs; they were the first boys team from St. Andrew's to do so. citation needed
Basketball is another sport available to students. Beginning in the 3rd grade, students are allowed to compete until they graduate. Students are elligible to try out for the regigon team as soon as they begin playing. In the 2005-2006 school year, the boys varsity region team, which consisted of players in the 7th and 8th grades, placed second in state-level play. citation needed
For the 2006-2007 school year, North-American football was made available to the students as an alternative to football. However, there were only enough students willing to play in the 5th and 6th grades. citation needed

Xenodontics to Biodontics in Dentistry
During the 20th century the 3Rs of dental practice—repair, restoration and replacement—were accomplished using metals of various types (gold and amalgam), plastics (acrylics), ceramics, and even rubber for dentures. All these materials are non-biological or foreign to the body. The Greek word for foreign is “xeno”; therefore, the practice of dentistry during this period can be referred to as “Xenodontic dentistry.” The practice of Xenodontics is in contrast to the practice of Biodontics wherein lost teeth, tooth structure and bone are replaced using materials that are not foreign; they are bio-based or derived from biological sources.
Xenodontic dentistry dominated the 20th century and in a large sense still dominates today. Dental schools teach it, the dental industry manufactures and distributes the products and equipment for it to function, and dentists use these products to provide dental care to patients.
During the latter half of the 20th century, however, a series of discoveries from basic science laboratories suggested to some that the era of Xenodontics in dentistry might end. One of the first papers to support this suggestion was in 1953 when the structure of DNA, the hereditary material of life, was elucidated.[2] While the intervening years produced many studies that unraveled many aspects of the working of DNA, RNA, the biosynthesis of proteins and eventually the cloning of genetic material, another milestone was reached almost 50 years later when in 2000 the sequence of human genome was published [3, 4]. These two advances can be viewed as synonymous to the elucidation of germ theory and the microbial nature of oral disease in the mid to late 1800s. Both theories fundamentally altered the understanding of the nature of medicine, disease and the human body.

John Collier (1884-1968): Social Reformer and Indian Advocate
Early Life and Career
John Collier was born on May 4, 1884 and grew up in Atlanta where his father was a prominent banker, businessman, and civic leader. He was educated at Columbia University and at the College de France in Paris. At Columbia, Collier began to develop a social philosophy that would shape his later work on behalf of American Indians. He was concerned with the adverse effects of the industrial age on mankind. He thought society was becoming to materialistic and individualistic and argued that American culture needed to reestablish a sense of community and responsibility. Collier centered his career on trying to realize the power of social institutions to make and modify personalities. In 1908 Collier made his first significant contribution to a national magazine when an article which described the Socialist municipal government in Milwaukee, Wisconsinwas published in Harper's Weekly. Collier moved to California in October 1919 where he worked for the Califoria Housing and Immigration Commission organizing institutes to train people who would then teach Americanization to immigrants.
Indian Advocate (1919-1933)
In 1919 Collier experienced his first contact with American Indians while visiting a friend, artist Mabel Dodge at the Taos Pueblo in Taos, New Mexico. For much of the next two years he spent time at an art colony near Taos where he studied the history and current life of American Indians. When Collier left Taos in 1921 for a teaching job in San Francisco he believed that Indians and their culture should not be lost to the encrouchment of the dominent white culture. He now rejected the forced assimilation and americanization policies that were prevalent at the time and demanded cultural pluralism be accepted when dealing with Native American tribes. Collier identified Indian survival with retention of their land base and expressed this by lobbying for the repeal of General Allotment Act of 1887. Also known as the Dawes Act, this legislation was an attempt at Indian assimilation by dividing up Indian reservation land into individual parcels of private property. In Collier's opinion, the general allotment of Indian reservation land was a complete failure leading to the increasing loss of Indian land. John Collier's emergence as a federal indian policy reformer in 1922 marked a turning point in Indian affairs. As a proponent of cultural pluralism and repeal of the Dawes Act, Collier directly attacked the [[Bureau of Indian Affairs. Prior to Collier, criticism of the Bureau was directed at corrupt and imcompetent officials and not the actual policies implemented.
Commissioner of Indian Affairs (1933-1945)

Kevin Narraway
Born November 21, 1961 in the former borough of East York, Kevin Narraway enjoyed a short but notable career with the CFL's Toronto Argonauts during the 1982 CFL Season. Undrafted and unscouted Kevin Narraway played in the backfield of the NCAA Division 2 Findlay Oilers alongside career rushing leader Nelson Bolden from 1979 to 1981. As a walk-on into the Toronto Argonaut's training camp Kevin Narraway quickly distinguished himself as natural passer and a gifted scrambler. His unaurthodox southpaw delivery was the inspiration for Darryl "Mouse" Davis' fast-paced "Run & Shoot" offence. After one season playing off the bench, Kevin Narraway had a number of philisophical differences with the coaching staff and left the team.
