Edits to Girraween High School Page

Why on Earth have you been reverting every edit to the Girraween High School page to your edit and your edit only? There are many people that have been trying to expose the truth about Girraween H.S. and you're just making it look like Girraween's a good old, friendly school. Did you use to go to Girraween? If so, what year did you leave?

I am well aware that Girra has its flaws, perhaps more so than most other students as I spent most of my final year (2002) calling in WorkCover to close half of it down, trying to bring reform to the school's useless SRC and calling for Holden's forced retirement. Even today, I am still one of Holden's harshest critics - when he tried to cancel the Riverside Musicale, I came back to the school to fight it. What I've removed on that entry is not "censorship", but rather inappropriate and certainly unfounded statements about the school. Discussion about racial gangs is borderline appropriate at best, and from my experience of four years ago, couldn't be further from the truth - in my year, everybody from the Asian 4u math geeks to the bogan dropouts could call each other friends. If you can phrase founded criticisms, with appropriate citations where possible, within an encyclopaedic context, then I would have no issue.Phanatical 01:53, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What about the 'flaws' that mean people have to compromise their performances to suit the entertainment value of the concert? Ironically half of them were considered boring this year anyway. Incidentally it's nice finding you here Andrew. By the way, 2006.girra.com has been rooted by Jono seemingly just to put his name all over it. I'm not opposed to someone modest just starting up the site, but I swear he's done it just for the sake of having HIM on it. You're right about that, the one most promising change that they could have made this year would have been to have a bit more popular music among the classical works. Surely the school still has rock bands? As for Girra.com, the content is 99% up to the discretion of the site designer - if there are any problems than Jojo could (if he were arsed) ask for content to be changed, or just do it himself. In regards to the article though, such criticisms should be levelled in an encyclopaedic context, as I previously mentioned - if only because I'm taking credit for writing the majority of the article. To be honest though, Girraween High is a shithole, and change needs to be made from the top down.
