"Switch " is a song by American hip hop recording artist Will Smith . was released on February 15, 2005 as the first single of his fourth studio album Lost and Found , with the record label ; Interscope Records . The song was produced by Kwame "K1 Mil" , who also participated in the band composition, along with the interpreter and Lennie Bennett. This song appeared in a trailer for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 .
Will Smith performed the song live on the Nickelodeon 's 2005 Kids' Choice Awards , at San Antonio before Game 1 of the 2005 NBA Finals between the Detroit Pistons and the San Antonio Spurs , on BET's 106 & Park , and at the Live 8 concert in Philadelphia .
"Switch" was Smith's highest charting single from Lost and Found . On the chart dated April 16, 2005, the song peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot Digital Songs chart, selling 40,000 digital copies.[ 1] [ 2] The peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100 , becoming Smith's third Hot 100 top 10 hit as lead artist and fourth overall. It reached number one in Canada and Australia , where it remained for one week, and number four in the United Kingdom .
The song was released days after Hitch , which Smith starred in and produced. It did not appear in the film or soundtrack.

Remixes
There are two official remixes to the song-an R&B remix featuring Robin Thicke with a smoother and slower rhythm and a reggae remix featuring Elephant Man . Both can be found on the album.
