Marie-Jeanne Larrivée-Lemiere (Sedan, Ardennes, 1733 - Paris, 1786) was a French dramatic soprano.
Sister of a distinguished violin concerto, she was endowed with a voice of rare beauty and admirably timbre, so she was one of the most famous artists of the Paris Opera, which debuted in 1750, with the name of Miss. Lemierre. In 1753, after creating some roles, including Jean-Joseph de Mondonville's for Antoine Dauvergne's Énée et Lavinie (Dauvergne) and those for Les Fêtes de Paphos, Larrivée-Lemière left the theater due to the difficulties she had with Sophie Arnould who played the part, essentially of Oriane, in the work Amadis de Gaula, and created some years later, with a complete success, the part of Ermelinde, also of great dramatic intensity, in the opera of Philidor that bears this title. She returns to Paris Opera, creating some more roles, in 1757.
Among the other lucky creations of the Larrivée are those of the operas Silvie, Omphale, Ovide et Julie, Salimes and Céphale et Procris (Grétry). This artist retired from the theater in 1777. She had been married to her partner Henri Larrivée, since 1762, and had two daughters: pianist, harpsichordist and composer Camille Larrivée and violinist Agathe Elisabeth Henriette Larrivée.
In 1767, the Larrivée separated, and the two daughters went on to live with their aunt and guardian Elisabeth-Henriette Larrivée, by touring through French provinces in concerts.
