USD is United School District in city articles
USD does still NOT automatically mean dollars every where! USD stands for United School District in schools and cities of Kansas. Please fix articles that you broke last night. • Sbmeirow • Talk • 09:19, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Sbmeirow, thanks, sorry it was late. I found five errors and fixed them, I think that's it. You scared me when you said broke the article, usually people mean something major went wrong not a spare dollar sign that snuck in. Grey Wanderer (talk) 17:32, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks!! • Sbmeirow • Talk • 22:46, 10 February 2019 (UTC)
Blue Springs
Please leave the Blue Springs page alone. I'm asking you nicel Y. That page has been like for well over a year. No issues until you got involved. The author was cited. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:6000:3E4E:800:9C7E:7590:F757:F60A (talk) 23:23, 17 February 2019 (UTC)
- Welcome to Wikipedia. There was no citation and the author has no article and their own website is not a reliable source as you should know because you read the policies the first time you were warned. Are you Denise Grover Swank or a family member? If so, you should read our conflict of interest policy in addition to the policies already linked when you were warned about sourcing. As stated repeatedly it doesn’t matter how long the article has been the way. Your edits have been reverted by three different editors so maybe pause and read up first before complaining. Removed my revision due to notability not established?
How do I establish notability for this? I am totally new here. I didn’t know how to add my father as a notable person born in Kahoka. I can send you his obit for verification of notability! Or perhaps other notable articles. Bkproz (talk) 19:14, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
- @Bkproz Welcome! I’ve left you message with some optional (but helpful) reading about editing on Wikipedia. If you want to add someone to a list of notable people they should ideally have an article about them. However, if you are able to find a WP:Reliable source that demonstrates WP:Notability and the connection to Kahokia you can add it as an inline citation or you can ask for help doing so at Talk:Kahoka, Missouri. Happy editing! Grey Wanderer (talk) 20:29, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
Cerner edit
Hi there, Zane Burke left Cerner Wikipedia page back in November, but he is still listed on the sidebar under "Key People" on the Wiki page. Could you please remove him? Here is a link to the GlobeNewswire release announcing his decision to step down.
There is also a typo on the last sentence of the intro paragraph – "it's" should be "its".
For the record, I am an associate at Cerner. Please let me know if you need any additional information. Thanks! - Patrick Prmulvihill (talk) 22:00, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
- @Prmulvihill Thanks for the updated information, I’ve made the changes you suggested. Grey Wanderer (talk) 22:22, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
NPR Newsletter No.17
Hello Grey Wanderer,
- News
- The WMF has announced that Google Translate is now available for translating articles through the content translation tool. This may result in an increase in machine translated articles in the New Pages Feed. Feel free to use the {{rough translation}} tag and gently remind (or inform) editors that translations from other language Wikipedia pages still require attribution per WP:TFOLWP.
- Discussions of interest
- Two elements of CSD G6 have been split into their own criteria: R4 for redirects in the "File:" namespace with the same name as a file or redirect at Wikimedia Commons (Discussion), and G14 for disambiguation pages which disambiguate zero pages, or have "(disambiguation)" in the title but disambiguate a single page (Discussion).
- {{db-blankdraft}} was merged into G13 (Discussion)
- A discussion recently closed with no consensus on whether to create a subject-specific notability guideline for theatrical plays.
- There is an ongoing discussion on a proposal to create subject-specific notability guidelines for chemicals and organism taxa.
- Reminders
- NPR is not a binary keep / delete process. In many cases a redirect may be appropriate. The deletion policy and its associated guideline clearly emphasise that not all unsuitable articles must be deleted. Redirects are not contentious. See a classic example of the templates to use. More templates are listed at the R template index. Reviewers who are not aware, do please take this into consideration before PROD, CSD, and especially AfD because not even all admins are aware of such policies, and many NAC do not have a full knowledge of them.
- NPP Tools Report
- Superlinks – allows you to check an article's history, logs, talk page, NPP flowchart (on unpatrolled pages) and more without navigating away from the article itself.
- copyvio-check – automatically checks the copyvio percentage of new pages in the background and displays this info with a link to the report in the 'info' panel of the Page curation toolbar.
- The NPP flowchart now has clickable hyperlinks.

Kansas City
Hey it’s Midwestman I think you should read this essay. It shows the population distribution and employment distribution for the area and also shows projections from the mid American Regional Council. https://showmeinstitute.org/sites/default/files/20160620%20-%20Kansas%20City%20-%20Wendell%20Cox.pdf — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:6000:3E51:2B00:290A:340C:E447:ABCB (talk) 22:00, 17 October 2019 (UTC)
