Canimals (literally can-animals) also known as Canimals: We Can Do It! is a South Korean/British live-action/CGI animated hybrid television series by Voozclub Co., Ltd. The main characters are Ato, Mimi, Uly, Fizzy, Nia, Oz, Pow, Toki, and Leon. Internationally, the series has aired in the UK through Aardman on CITV and worldwide through BRB Internacional.[1][2]
Plot
Canimals are the Cylinder shape cute animals with their colorful cans to wear. They hide in their cans. The Canimals find something new and interesting in the most common things.
Characters
- Ato - A Beagle in a can. He puts up the Canimals logo in the episode title cards.
- Oz - A white cat in a can. She often gets herself into more trouble than she can handle, but she's smart and can easily get away with anything.
- Uly - A hungry Pug in a can. He happily eats anything in sight without thinking.
- Mimi - A bossy poodle in a can. She sometimes attacks the others with her ears. She is a little mean to the other Canimals.
- Pow - A clever Great Owl in a can. He can shoot laser waves via his eyes to debilitate the other Canimals.
- Fizzy - An extremely skilled Siamese cat in a can. He aspires to have a ninja lifestyle.
- Toki - A hyperactive Rabbit in a can. He just can't seem to stay firmly on the ground. He loves to dance.
- Nia - A timid and gentle kitten in a can. She sometimes lets off a sonic scream when frightened or angry.
- Leon - An odd Chameleon in a can. He can make himself invisible at will and move around with his tongue.
Other Characters
- Wooang - A bull terrier who a happy one. He is the fantastic pup in the world.
- Peng - A penguin with his twin sister Gwen.
- Boco - A giant squirrel who is really angry of Ato, Toki and Nia from the episode "Canned Nuts". Boco lives a Nuts. He is the boss of the squirrels.
- Cocoboses are tiny squirrels. They loves metal nuts and bolds
- Gwen - A penguin with her twin brother Peng.
- Wooga - A gorilla who hates dogs or all kind of animals, but he loves cats. Wooga gets angry sometimes and he roared very loudly.
- Koby - A turtle who hates spicy food. He is kind, grumpy, furious and happy. He gets nervous sometimes.
- Pip - Black and white cat who is Ato's enemy. Pip wants to eat the bird and turns to a black and white kitty. He is nicknamed Mini Pip when Mimi and Nia loves him. But when Pip turns him back to a black and white cat, he will be evil.
- Capri - A lion who is really angry. He chased the Canimals and he roared very loudly.
- Olive - A skunk but she is coloured as brown. She falls in love with a sock puppet and farts from the episode "Trash Can"
- Bobby - A grizzly bear who chased from Ato, Toki and Nia from the episode of Canned Nuts.
- Woong - A brownish seal with his twin brother Ung.
- Ung - A bluish seal with his twin brother Woong.
- Dal - A Dalmatian dog.
- Elly - An elephant that loves bubbles with her trunk.
- Bebe - A bat.
Episodes
Season 1
- Music of the Night: Toki's interest in listening to an MP3 player at night disturbs Uly, Mimi and Leon's sleep.
- Pool Can: It's a hot day. Ato, Oz, Uly, Mimi and Toki turn a kitchen sink into a swimming pool.
- Can vs. Shell: Fizzy has to fight a hermit crab for a shiny ring he drops into a fish tank.
- Toki in Love: Toki falls in love with a can of carrots, but Mimi wants to break them up.
- Uly and the Apple: Uly and Pow fight for an apple tree, though the apples have some unforeseen side effects on Uly.
- Paint Cans: Mimi orders Ato, Oz and Leon to paint a picture of her, but their paintings turn out less than satisfactory.
- Super Can: Fizzy tries to imitate a superhero he has seen on the television.
- Kiss and Make Up: Oz, Mimi and Nia hold a beauty contest to see who will win a sweet trophy and Uly wanted the candy ripped trophy that Ato is made.
- Mistake Can ID: The choice is clear for Uly when he finds money for a vending machine: a chocolate bar or a trapped Mimi?
- School Pet: Nia befriends a goldfish, but Uly wants to eat it.
- Rocket Can: When their ball is knocked out of reach by Ato and Toki use a soft drink can as a rocket to get it back.
- Snow Cans: Ato and Oz find a snow sled and take it for a ride, but they have to evade a snowball rolling their way. Uly is stuck inside the snowball.
- Can't Blame Me: Mimi and Nia take in Pip - a new Canimal, but Ato soon discovers that Pip is not as innocent as he seems.
- Can Eats Can: Uly falls in love with a vending machine, but he must contend with Leon to get all the treats inside.
- Canned Nuts: Ato, Toki and Nia stumble upon an urban complex, but a group of squirrel Canimals don't take kindly to their intrusion, especially when they take their nuts.
- Can Napper: Mimi and Wooang race across the city to rescue Uly, who has gotten himself trapped in a suitcase.
- Sleeprolling Can: Nia has to prevent a sleepwalking Mimi from getting hurt or being discovered by humans.
- Wasp: Pow ends up an owl stung when he angers a swarm of wasps.
- Baby Doll: Mimi and Nia try to return a baby doll to its stroller.
- Canimalism: Mimi, Toki and Leon end up running for their lives when Uly views them as food.
- Encanted: Toki and Nia stumble across a magician's magic set, which has some unforeseen effects on Nia.
- Egg roll: Pow wants to hatch an egg, but Leon wants to eat it.
- Shiny Cans: Excluded from playing with Mimi and Nia, Oz bribes Uly to take the toys for herself.
- Dolly Disaster: Nia can't stop crying when her doll ends up out of reach, so Ato and Oz try to get it back.
- Can of the Castle: Mimi struggles to reclaim a sand castle, which has been taken over by Oz and Uly.
- Doppelcanner: Leon masquerades as Mimi to outwit Uly and get back his share of cereal.
- Ants and Cans: Uly, Fizzy and Toki anger a colony of ants by taking their food.
- Vase: Uly, Pow, Toki and Leon end up stuck in a glass vase when they fight over Nia's lollipop.
- Can-oodling: Mimi becomes smitten over a handsome groom doll.
- Candid Camera: Nia tries to rescue Uly, who she thinks is trapped inside a camera.
- Leave Me a Gnome: Oz and Leon plays a prank on Mimi and Nia with garden gnomes.
- Can-ouflage: Fizzy will do anything to get a piece of Mimi's muffin, even if it means disguising himself.
- Bully Cans: Bullied by Oz and Toki, Nia finds and uses a remote-controlled robot to get even.
- Trapped Can: Poor Uly gets stuck in a teacup. Ato, Mimi, Toki and Leon have to free him before he is discovered.
- Once Upon a Can: Ato, Uly, Mimi, Pow and Fizzy A fairy tale being read to a child becomes a dream for Mimi.
- Can Can Fly: Toki hops about with some balloons but inadvertently gets Uly and Mimi involved.
- Skater Can: Oz tries to spoil Ato, Uly and Leon's fun to get the roller skate for herself.
- Heavy Jelly: Toki gets himself trapped in a bowl of jelly. Uly, Mimi and Nia try to free him before he is discovered.
- Chili Can Carnage: Oz's plan to cook discarded Mexican kebabs by forcing Koby to eat chillis has unexpected consequences and Fizzy and Wooang are trapped inside the bucket all because of Oz.
- Trash Can: Ato has a cold and makes friends with a smelly sock puppet. Mimi and Fizzy do whatever they can to break up this stinky relationship.
- Can Zilla: Oz's pranks with glue goes haywire when Pow, Toki, Nia and Leon get stuck together.
- Moustak Can: Ato, Uly and Toki find themselves dealing with lots of mouse traps.
- Mama Can: The Canimals, including Mimi, all mistake a cake for their mothers.
- Classroom: The cats and dogs play around in a classroom and meet a goldfish.
- Coffee Cans: Mimi wants the warmth of a cup of coffee for herself, so Fizzy and Leon try to take it away.
- Can Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest: Pow falls in love with the cuckoo of a cuckoo clock, a relationship that Leon won't take seriously.
- Wild Can: Ato, Oz and Nia run for their lives when one of Oz's pranks enrages Capri.
- Mimi's Birthday: Mimi desperately tries to defend a birthday cake from Uly, Fizzy and Leon thinking it's hers alone.
- Vacuum Can: Uly, Fizzy and Leon get sucked into a vacuum cleaner.
- King Can: In a warehouse, Uly, Mimi and Nia discover Wooga - a gorilla Canimal, who befriends Nia.
- Canimal Magnetism: Leon's simple prank involving fridge magnets goes awry when Ato becomes increasingly attractive to the kitchen utensils.
- Florence Nighting Can: Mimi and Nia play doctors and nurses. However, Uly, Toki and Leon aren't willing to receive treatment.
Season 2
1 The Canimals swim in an aquarium, make a clay vase and are stranded on a desert island.
2 The Canimals make things out of recyclables, ride a toy glider and enjoy a day on a boat.
3 The Canimals produce their own movie, solve a mirror mystery and play with dominoes.
4 The Canimals protect Christmas presents, bake cookies and learn a lesson about anger.
5 Oz invents a ray gun in her workshop; Fizzy and Leon practice martial arts.
6 Fizzy has a standoff over a ball of yarn; Ato's garden yields a crop of fresh carrots.
7 Fizzy faces a new martial arts opponent; Uly whips something up in the kitchen.
8 Oz tries to tell the squirrels apart; Oz and Nia plan a surprise birthday party for Mimi.
9 Mimi's friends throw her an unusual birthday party; Pow eats blueberry seeds.
10 Nia befriends a frozen gorilla that is found in Ato's garden.
11 The gorilla gets lured back to the jungle by Ato and Oz; Mimi and Nia play hide-and-seek.
12 The Canimals join Toki for a dance; Uly gets zapped into Ato's garden.
Licensing
Canimals was licensed based on a long-run cartoon series and supported by the creators of Pucca (Voozclub), Wallace & Gromit (Aardman) and Suckers (BRB International). With a spectacular style guide, Canimals has prepared a wide-ranging licensing and merchandising plan set to be launched in conjunction with the series’ TV premiere in 2011.
BRB International manages all the series’ rights on the Iberian Peninsula.[3]
Netflix picked up the series in 2015 and had the complete series available for viewing Until it was removed on June 2019.

Awards and nominations
Canimals won as the best for kids 7-10 at the 2010 Kids' Jury and nominated for the Licensing Challenge in MIPJR 2010.[4][5]
