Dartmouth Crossing
Dartmouth Crossing is the name for a $280 million commercial real estate development currently under construction in Dartmouth , Nova Scotia, Canada.
Dartmouth Crossing is owned by North American Development Group. The site under construction is located north of the interchange with Highway 118 and Highway 111 in Dartmouth in the Halifax Regional Municipality.
Dartmouth crossing is the biggest retail construction project east of Calgary. When completed, it will feature two million square feet of retail space and 10,000 jobs should be created once all phases have been completed.
The site is 500 acres with a 200 acres of retail. There will be 20 large/medium box stores, 40 shops, 15 Boutiques, 20 Restaurants, 10 Services, 2 Hotels, 1 Multiplex Theatre, and 100,000 sq. feet of office space.
As of December 2006, some of the tenants will include Wal-Mart[1], Home Depot, Canadian Tire, Best Buy, Costco, Staples, Inc., Marriott Hotel, Petcetera, Bowring, Jack Astor's, Linen-N-Things, SportsChek, The Shoe Company, Micheals, TD Canada Trust and a 12-screen Empire Theatres movie theatre[2].
Wal-mart and Home Depot are already fully constructed and will be opening mid-January 2007.
