Marc Fleury (born 1968) is the creator of JBoss, an open-source Java application server.

Fleury was born in Paris. He holds a degree in mathematics and a doctorate in physics from the École Polytechnique in Paris and a Master in Theoretical Physics from the École Normale Supérieure. He worked in France for Sun Microsystems before moving to the United States where he has worked on various Java projects.

Fleury's research interest focused on middleware, and he started the JBoss project in 1999. JBoss Group, LLC was incorporated in 2001 in Atlanta, Georgia. JBoss became a corporation under the name JBoss, Inc. in 2004.

After selling his company to Red Hat for $350 million in 2006, Fleury became Senior Vice President and General Manager of the JBoss Division. However, Fleury went on a "paternity leave" in January 2007, supposedly until 15 March 2007 but was widely rumored to be leaving Red Hat. On 9 February 2007, his departure from Red Hat was made public, saying Fleury "has decided to leave Red Hat to pursue other personal interests, such as teaching, research in physics, music and his family."

In 2008, Fleury started a new open source project called OpenRemote, to build home automation systems.

In February 2019, Fleury joined the advisory board of the Swiss blockchain banking Fintech company Mt Pelerin.[1]

In late 2019, together with Alexander S. Blum, Fleury co-founded Two Prime – a crypto asset management company focused on designing and managing institutional-grade crypto products.

Co-founding Two Prime

Two Prime aims at "replicating the private equity approach of staged, de-risked financing"[2]. Fleury officially introduced Two Prime, its Continuous Token Offering (CTO) model and its flagman FF1 token on Crypto Finance Conference in Sankt Moritz in January 2020.

Fleury shared his philosophy that lead to launching Two Prime in his 40-page pamphlet "Understanding Crypto Today", released in March 2020.

“Money, real money, wants to be invested, it wants to flow. Money that is not invested is money that will die. One of the main factors for the 2017 crypto rally was the phenomenon of ERC-20 and ICOs. This is how Bitcoin started freely flowing: all of the sudden people were moving large amounts of crypto to invest. The counter intuitive conclusion is that we need something like the ICO movement to come back. We need that crypto wealth to move if it wants to grow. We will bring back abundance to crypto when we bring back investment velocity.” [3]

Fleury is an active educator, releasing education video series "12 Hard Truths of Crypto"[4] on Two Prime's official YouTube channel.
