Mukut Parbat or (Hindi: मुकुट पर्वत) is a mountain in Uttarakhand India, and the 6th highest located entirely within the India. Nanda Devi, is the highest mountain in this category. Mukut Parbat 96th highest peak in the world. there are two summits first one is 7242 meter and other one is 7130 meter. It falls under Kamet Zaskar range.[2]

Climbing history

MUKUT PARVAT (7242 m) was first climbed in 1951 by a team from New Zealand [3]through its sharp and steep western ridge.First summiter are Cotter, Pasang Dawa Lama and Riddiford reached its summit from the Dakhini Chamrao glacier which joins the Saraswati from the east.[4] MUKUT PARVAT lies in the Zaskar range which does not receive the heavy monsoon
