One Day in My Life is a novel written by Bobby Sands while he was imprisoned at Long Kesh by the British for his activities as a member of the Irish Republican Army. The novel was originally written on "toilet paper with a biro refill... hidden inside Sands's own body" during the winter of 1979.[1] It was first published in 1983, two years after Sands died at Long Kesh.
