The 1955–56 Iraq Central FA First Division was the 8th season of the Iraq Central FA League (the top division of football in central Iraq, including the capital city of Baghdad, from 1948 to 1974). Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya Al-Malikiya (now known as Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya) won their first title, ending Al-Haris Al-Maliki's run of seven consecutive titles.[1][2][3] It ended up being the last season Al-Haris Al-Maliki ever competed in before being disbanded.[4]
