Chandrakant Nimba Patil is a politician from Jalgaon district, Maharashtra. He is current MLA of Muktainagar in Maharashtra Legislative Assembly .He won 2019 election from Muktainagar Vidhan Sabha constituency as an independent member.[1][3][4]

He narrowly defeated Rohini Eknath Khadse of BJP in 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election.[5]

Political career

Patil is associated with Shiva Sena party. He filled nomination from Shiva Sena party for 2014 Maharashtra assembly elections in Muktainagar. Eknath Khadse was sitting MLA at that time of Muktainagar. Eknath Khadse being senior BJP leader and candidate for chief minister post of Maharashtra won election just by 10,000 votes. It wasn't big Margin for senior leader like Eknath Khadse. Previous years, Patil not able to contest election because alliance of BJP-Shiv Sena in Maharashta. Patil first time contested in 2014. In 2019 Maharashta assembly elections, he defeated BJP senior leaders daughter Rohini Khadse by 3000 votes. Chandrakant Patil is chief of Jalgaon Shiv Sena. Chief minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray praised him for defeating senior BJP leader Eknath Khadse, Rohini Khadse in 2019 Maharashta assembly election at gathering in Muktainagar[6].
