Infinity War/Endgame production work

Hey Adam! Hope all is well! I saw you're starting some work on the production article in your sandbox. Let me know when you're finished with what you want to do. I'd be happy to then go through and make a pass/copy-edit to it before its copied back over to the live article. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:38, 3 January 2020 (UTC)

Will do. My plan at the moment is to get through everything I want to do by the end of the weekend, but if that doesn't happen then I may not be in a rush. So far I've been adding quite a bit of good stuff. - adamstom97 (talk) 03:40, 3 January 2020 (UTC)
Sounds good, and yeah, no rush on my end either to look it over! - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:58, 3 January 2020 (UTC)

Patrolling of articles

Hello! Colleague, could you please to patrol this and this articles? Thank you. — Green Zero обг 01:08, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Morbius (film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Walt Disney Studios (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).

star trek

I understand your comment but i think it is very relevant for a parent to know a star trek series is rated TV-MA. If you look up the movie Showgirls, you will see that its NC-17 rating is mentioned numerous times. When something is unusual I think it is reasonable for Wiki to include it because it is important information. If you wish to also state this in the main section that is fine with me. I think if you open this up for conversation, many people would see my POV. However, I will leave it as is. You change it (or include somewhere else) if you agree with me. Thanks Drycroft4 (talk) 22:29, 9 March 2020 (UTC)

You are right that it is reasonable to include if it is unusual, but it is not up to us to decide what is unusual and what is not. We need commentary from reliable third party sources discussing the rating and why it is unusual if we want to include that information in the article. - adamstom97 (talk) 00:43, 10 March 2020 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:Once Upon a Deadpool

Hello, Adamstom.97. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Once Upon a Deadpool".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 22:20, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

About DiscussingFilm

Hi, Tom. Given your edit in Draft:Untitled Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel, do you consider DiscussingFilm a reliable source? If so, why? I'm having a hard time defining if relatively new websites like this are reliable or not. I've also asked this at WT:FILM and WP:RSN. El Millo (talk) 01:03, 31 March 2020 (UTC)

It is relatively new, but it has editorial oversight and has proven reliable for scoops particularly related to filming and cinematographers. I definitely think its reliable, but like any of these sites we just have to keep an eye out to make sure what they are saying seems right. If they started reporting on a bunch of stuff that is obviously made up like what some other sites do (We Got This Covered, for example) then maybe we would have to reconsider. But yeah, at the moment I have been considering it to be reliable. - adamstom97 (talk) 01:06, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. El Millo (talk) 01:50, 31 March 2020 (UTC)

THANK YOU!

Using Indented plainlist and quad at at the CM draft has literally solved an issue I've been having with the Based on template and had brought up on its talk page. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:03, 4 April 2020 (UTC)

Oh, interesting, thanks for pointing out that discussion. I've been thinking about doing something about it for a while as I find it hard to look at with the multiple listings all blurring together.
P.S. happy to discuss the coronavirus in the lead thing. - adamstom97 (talk) 03:04, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
Yeah I wanted to see if there was some sort of code to handle it on the Based on template side, but based on our conversations, I don't think so. So this is a good fix in my eyes until a solution potentially is found. I'm going to start a coronavirus lead discussion on the Phase 4 talk. Seems most appropriate. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:13, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
Actually, regular Plainlist, and then {{Nb5}} might do more of what I wanted or at least is an alternative. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:48, 4 April 2020 (UTC) Scratch that. It's a method, but not the one I had proposed on the based on talk page. Yours was it! - Favre1fan93 (talk) 03:50, 4 April 2020 (UTC)

New page creation

I went and created a character list from scratch for the manga Edens Zero, but since I don't typically create entirely new pages, I'm not certain if there were any necessary procedures to go through first, such as submitting a draft for approval, or if it needs a review. What do I do? User:SubZeroSilver (talk) 02:29, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

There is no real procedure, it just depends on the situation. Every new article will be patrolled by an experienced editor and if they see any major problems then they may choose to let you know or help out. I just took a look at your page and it looks really good, especially the "real world" aspects which is what we always want to focus on with entertainment-related articles. Drafts are used when you want to start making an article but it is not ready to be in the mainspace, or is not allowed to be yet (for instance, articles about films aren't usually allowed in the mainspace until filming begins so sometimes a draft will be created with all the details known before filming). In future, if you make another great article like this one and are confident with it then you should feel free to go ahead and make it. If you want to start working on something and let others help out then you can always make a draft, and if you have a draft but aren't sure if it should be moved to the mainspace then there is the option to submit the draft for approval. But mostly I think you should just carry on as you are. You can also use your sandbox if you want to play around with something but don't want other people working on it yet which can happen in the draftspace. - adamstom97 (talk) 02:37, 5 April 2020 (UTC)

A copy edit pass?

Hey Adam. If you had the time/interest, would you be willing to give Crisis on Infinite Earths (Arrowverse) a copy-edit? I'm hoping to nominate it soon for GA, and have requested a copy editor from the Guild to take a look, but I'd love to have your thoughts on it as well. Thanks. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:32, 10 April 2020 (UTC)

I'll try take a look at it today. - adamstom97 (talk) 22:07, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
Thanks! No rush. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 00:20, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
I've given it a c/e pass, and I think it does a good job balancing all the information from all the shows in the one article. I understand why the last reception subsection combines two episodes, but I think it wouldn't be too hard to separate them and it would make sense to do that if there was enough reception info out there on the Legends episode. I also think you could add some discussion to the ratings section (I seem to remember reading that they had all gone up for the crossover), and then summarize that reception info in the lead. Otherwise I think it is looking pretty good. - adamstom97 (talk) 01:44, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
Thanks so much Adam! Yeah, since Arrow and Legends aired on the same night, most of the reviews were about both as a whole, so it seem easier to just combine the two into one section. Only the AV Club had individual reviews for each episode. I'll definitely look into the ratings info and see what I can add, and then to create an overall reception summary in the lead. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 02:19, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
Also, do you have any thoughts on how to present the cast that was uncredited? Currently I'm using the dagger, and formerly had efns for all of them, but I'm not totally sold on either of those methods being the best. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 15:03, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
I don't know if I have a better option other than maybe having two sections, one for credited guests and one for uncredited cameos. - adamstom97 (talk) 03:57, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
Yeah I think anyway you want to portray the info, there's going to be duplication/excess somewhere. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:25, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
