If you would like help regarding a draft article, I request the following: 1) please place the text at the bottom of this page, 2) please include a link to the draft in question and 3) please sign your posts (place "~~~~" at the end). Please do not request a follow-up review, since there is a large backlog and someone will get to it when they can. Otherwise I may not respond to your request. Cheers, 1292simon.
Dear 1292simon 1292simon, my question which I posted here a few days ago have been taken, and I don't know the reason. This is the link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Enzo_Neri of the draft which I made and it have been declined. Could you please help me to understand better how to do it. I would much appreciate your help, thank you! Cheers — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sukinasuzi (talk • contribs) 08:56, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
Hello 1292simon, thank you for reviewing my article. I know that you are busy, just please help me. This is my first Wiki article, I tried my best to make it as good as possible, and then continue my contribution to wiki -I plan on creating content about musicians. Regarding the article, I based the layout and the sources of my article on similar articles, like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Johnston_(guitarist) and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Maxim_Micic, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Richardson_(musician), https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ioannis_Anastassakis. These articles -and many other articles about guitar players in wiki, are about guitarists that are somewhat of the same notability. I would assume that since it's the same type of article, same sources/notability that my article would be accepted too. If you still believe it shouldn't be accepted, can you please guide me on what to add/change, like I said I followed the path that same articles do. Can you please have another look? Thank you very much for your time, have a nice day! Rhythm Zero (talk) 12:17, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Rhythm Zero. (Hopefully this time I'm pinging you in the correct section!) You're welcome, thanks for making the message polite even after the bad news, I really appreciate it. It is important that any COI issues are known from the start, so can you please clarify whether you have any association with Yiannis? Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 23:32, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
- :-) Don’t thank me 1292simon! The best thing we can do is always stay positive and be polite to each other. Regarding the COI, I am a guitar player myself -thus the interest, I don’t know Yiannis, but I am a fan of his work and I’ve been following his career since he started winning guitar competitions a few years back. I have a few other fantastic guitar players that I like and I would like to write articles about - like Andre Nieri, but I wanted to start with one, try to make it as good as I can in order to have it accepted and then use the knowledge and experience to create more content. Can you tell me if anything is wrong regarding the article? Because when compare it with these articles https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nick_Johnston_(guitarist) and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Maxim_Micic, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Richardson_(musician), https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ioannis_Anastassakis I don’t see any differences and I did try to give just the facts and use proper language. Can you please have one more look at the article? Maybe with your help and few changes I can have it accepted!! Thank you, I appreciate your time and help. Rhythm Zero (talk) 19:34, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
- Indeed, that's very true. Thanks for clarifying that you are "just" an inspired fan, so there are no COI issues.
For feature artists who appears on the albums of other artists, unfortunately it can be tricky to find independent sources which establish notability (since usually it is achieved from reviews of an artists albums). However, I suggest looking for references on the awards he has won and reviews of his books, this should do the trick. Hope this helps. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 22:45, 23 May 2020 (UTC)

- Sounds good 1292simon, thank you very much for your kind reply and guidance, I'll see what I can find and I'll let you know once I have collected some more info. Have a nice day! Rhythm Zero (talk) 13:30, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for approval and release of my article about Helmut Kroiss!

Hi 1292simo, thank you for your review. I would very much appreciate help. I have no conflict of interest in my understanding. I disclosed a conflict of interest for Draft: EU Scream but then the last reviewer accused me of having a conflict of interest which is odd because I had disclosed it. I try to write articles about subjects I know more or less and I think that being overly open about any potential conflict of interest has been so far been used against my submissions in the weirdest ways. Please I would appreciate your help. I have base this article on many models and tried to do a thorough and neat job. Compared to the articles I used as model, I included way more references. Thank you a million in advance.
- Hi Queenofboston. The first step is to clear up the COI situation. What association with EU Scream led you to post a COI request there? Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 08:14, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
(misplaced discussion regarding unrelated topics is in italics below)
- Hi. I do not think you understand what a conflict of interest is, judging from your comments in the draft here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Fire_Drill_Fridays. While COI's are common here on Wikipedia (as the Wikiscanner especially made clear years ago), a COI is not a COI without some evidence. Otherwise it is just conspiracy suggesting that a random anonymous author on the internet has a COI.
Also could you address what is meant by "Issues found in previous review still present"? As of now there is no indication in your review as to what issues these are, or how they have not been addressed. The concern that another user made was that the sources do not focus on the organization but rather celebrities. Mainstream sources were added since then which cover the organization with more focus on the organization. I look forward to a review with substance.
- Hello 1292simon, I'm a bit confused. I don't know why I am mentioned here. I didn't post any COI request anywhere. I just added a new section on your talk page asking sth about my draft. If I did anything else by mistake I deeply apologize, like I mentioned before, and you noticed, I am new to wiki. Again, I have nothing to do with any COI requests I don't know who or what is "EU Scream".
Please reply to the comment I left on your talk page so that I'll know what to do with my draft. Thank you very much. Rhythm Zero (talk) 13:44, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

- Hi Rhythm Zero. I'm sorry, you are correct that this has nothing to do with you! I got mixed up and somehow accidentally pinged you instead of Queenofboston. Sorry for the confusion and any angst you suffered. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 06:51, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
- Not a problem 1292simon just please reply to my comment on your talk page regarding my draft: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Yiannis_Papadopoulos_(guitarist) . Thank you!
- Hi 1292simon, my COI with EU Scream is that I am friends with people who work for them. I have no financial interest in EU Scream and it is a not-for-profit anyway. I am certainly absolutely not paid for any edits or any writing I do on Wikipedia by no one. I have never received any money from EU Scream and I do not expect to receive any money in the future. I read carefully https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest and if there was any impression that I was financially remunerated I would like to make clear that that is not the case and that I declared a COI because I know some people who work for them that's all.
- Hi Queenofboston. Thankyou for being so diligent about the COI guidelines, and I am sorry that it led to an unnecessary question here. Of course, there is no issue, so I have removed that comment. Regarding the secondary coverage, useful sources would be any awards James has won, or any articles written by others discussing his influence. Hope this helps.
PS to add your signature when posting on Talk pages (like this one), could you please put four tilde's (~~~~) at the end of your replies? Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 23:00, 23 May 2020 (UTC)

Hi Simon. Thanks for your review. I do have COI and potentially non-neutral point of view as you point out. However, I thought what I submitted is just based on the facts and not much else, so I thought I stayed in neutral position myself in the writing. I also didn't know a mechanism to state the COI/non-neutral point of view in the article, if there is, can you let me know how to do that? It's my first time submitting an article to wikipedia, so any help would be appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SunhwanJo (talk • contribs) 16:13, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi SunwanJo. You're welcome. Thanks for taking the bad news calmly, I really appreciate the effort you made to be polite in your message.
Here are the instructions for how a COI should be disclosed: WP:DISCLOSE. Then I suggest you ask at the Teahouse or Live Chat area about what is the best way to deal with the COI issue in this situation. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 07:00, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
AfC script
Hey bud, you might want to consider using the AfC script, WP:AFCH. It'll automate much of the stuff you might miss. For example, you didn't move over the talk page for The Cheap Thrills. Also, by doing it manually the appropriate AfC banners are not getting added to the created pages and and the created pages are being logged at Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Showcase. It'll also automate declines and comments and just generally make life a lot easier. Cheers Sulfurboy (talk) 16:39, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Sulfurboy. Thanks for the tip. Sorry, that I somehow accidentally clicked the button to not also move the Talk page across, I'll be more careful about that in future. I'd be happy to use the AfC script, but unfortunately my computer doesn't seem to work with scripts on Wikipedia. I will make sure that things are done properly when I manually accept or decline drafts. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 07:07, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
Greetings 1292simon
Regarding the above draft on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Richard_Tuwangye, I have included the links the talk page as you requested. I hope you will find them satisfactory enough.
I await your response
Stay safe
Mlajum (talk) 18:05, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks Mlajum for taking on board my comments. I suggest you re-submit the article (with a note somewhere telling reviewers to look at the Talk page sources). Hopefully someone will get around to reviewing it soon. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 07:09, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
Hi. I've reviewed all I could through the internet. Sadly there aren't more links than those I can provide. Respect to the COI, i don't have enough information to know if there might be one. I can erase more sources, but there are no more than what I could find. The topic is relatively new. Thank you. Mgab05 (talk) 07:05, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Mgab05. Here is some further information about COI to help you determine if there might be one for this topic. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 23:35, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for your comments. I will seek to address the comment on notability. In response to your question about a Conflict of Interest with Cambridge University Cricket Club. I can confirm that there is no conflict. The reference to Cambridge University Cricket Club is a publicly recorded matter of fact as is the reference to Oxford University Cricket Club.
Regards. Crickbadger (talk) 11:37, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Crickbadger. Sounds good, thanks for clearing that up. All the best for your Wikipedia endeavours. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 23:02, 23 May 2020 (UTC)

Hello, Thanks for reviewing! I rewrote the article to make it more like a Wikipedia article (less CV) and added a few sources that could prove WP:SIGCOV addressing your comments. I will resubmit AfC. I would appreciate for feedback. JavTehran (talk) 21:08, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi JavTehran. You're welcome and thanks for taking my comments on board. Hopefully a reviewer will get to the resubmitted draft soon. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 23:06, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
You didn't even review the article. I declared a COI on the talk, this isn't a secret, but you actually have to review it. Toa Nidhiki05 (Work) (talk) 21:58, 22 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Toa Nidhiki05 (Work). Thanks for your message. Yes I did review the article. The paid editor comment is there to provide background for the issues found in the draft. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 23:04, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
- You didn't even list any issues, anything actionable, which is frankly kind of ridiculous given the largest portion of the "History and acquisitions" section focuses on a disastrous business deal. Are there any sourcing issues, specific actionable problems, or things to remove? Your biggest concern seems to be "written by a paid editor", which is fine but you didn't give any specific input of issues. Toa Nidhiki05 (Work) (talk) 23:16, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
Hi! I am a new user of Wikipedia, and I don't fully understand the comment for declining the article I edited. "Lacks coverage in independent WP:RS to establish notability. Does the WP:SPA author have a COI that should be disclosed?" I did not create the account as a single purpose account as I'd like to be able to contribute generally to Wiki. I do think the figure is a notable figure, if "notability" equates to someone who has public stature. In any event, would appreciate some help in improving articles. Thank you!
- Hello sir/madam. Sorry, there is lots of jargon on Wikipedia, which can be confusing for newcomers! Great to hear that you are also interested in improving other articles. Regarding Lobsang Nyandak, the first step is to clarify whether there are any WP:COI issues- do you have an association with Lobsang, the CTA or The Tibet Fund? You haven't previously edited using the Timofeytv account? Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 23:13, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
Dear Simon 1292simon Thank you for your review! However, I am writing you because submission has been declined and this is second time. After first time, I remade it, because the reason was: "Encyclopedia articles should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. Honestly, I still don't understand the problem with sources... Please advice, I was added sources like newspaper, government link and others online published sources , and all these are very famous and very strong sources, Sorry but I should say that article is more stronger than others existing article of school in the view of the sources. please tell me, should I need to add more? or change the existing? Could you please clarify me with more information, and help to make to make it properly. I would much appreciate your help. Thank you <!
- Hello sir/madam. Hopefully this explanation provides some help: WP:CORPDEPTH. Currently, only the Bengal Report citation qualifies. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 23:23, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
Dear Simon, thank you for reviewing my article. As reason for declining, you wrote "Promotional wording, external links in the article body." Can you point me to the external links in the body? I could not find any. Only in citations, which should be correct. Also, what wording would you consider promotional, I'd like to change this, of course. As for a COI, I am indeed a fan of the work of the subject and in particular of this industry, but I'm not in any kind of dependency to the person. However, the previous declination questioned the citations would underline the relevance of the subject; Therefore I had focussed on citations that emphasized the influence on the industry, but I understand the cited wordings do sound a bit bold. I have just reduced the promotional character of these wordings in the way they are cited in the article body, not sure if this is already sufficient. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you, Dennis Daredevil1969 6:32, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Daredevil1969 (Dennis). Thanks for making your message polite, I realise it isn't easy when you have just been informed of a declined draft, so I really appreciate the effort. It's great to hear that there is no COI issue here, so I have removed that comment.
The note about external links relates to the link for Gamesmold. Regarding the promotional wording, yes I appreciate that they might be quotes from the citations, however they can still be paraphrased to provide a more encyclopaedic tone. Hope this helps. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 23:36, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for the advice! I understand, I have now paraphrased the citations to more appropriate encyclopaedic wordings. And, indeed, I missed out on the gamesmold link and removed it. I've just resubmitted the article, I hope everything is OK now. Daredevil1969 (talk) 06:46, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- You're welcome, all the best for your work here. Hopefully a reviewer can get to your draft soon. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 07:57, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
Hi. Nothing is copied in the article. Some parts are taken from the club's articles. Since this is a draft, I didn't provide attribution. But, I can't understand, what is copied... ❯❯❯ S A H A 06:42, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- the website 'thesportsdb' copied the whole lead section from Mohun Bagan. the website also has put a redirect to the article and also CC3.0 license tag. I have addressed the issue in the draft talkpage and also in the discord server... ❯❯❯ S A H A 06:53, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi ArnabSaha. Thanks for the info. What proof is there that TheSportsDB copied the text from Wikipedia? It is not correct that drafts do not require attribution. Also, there is a special procedure required when copying between Wikipedia articles: WP:Copying within Wikipedia. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 08:04, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- 1292simon, i didn't know that attribution is required in drafts. otherwise, I do... and the proof is that, they have provided the article redirect link, and the licensing (CC3.0). Also you can check any club, and they have copied the whole lead section. example 1- barcelona. now cpmpare it with FC Barcelona. example 2- east bengal, compare this with East Bengal F.C.. everything is same. ❯❯❯ S A H A 12:10, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
Hello, Simon 1292simon! Thank you for reviewing the draft on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Carmen_Harra. My answer to your question "Does the WP:SPA author have a COI that should be disclosed?" is: This is not a promotional article. No, I have no COI that should be disclosed. I did not create the account as a single purpose account and I would like to be able to contribute generally to Wikipedia. This page is the first page I build and it is obvious that I learned how to write an article for Wikipedia. In the next period I intend to create other pages to use the experience gained so far. I am not an expert in Wikipedia articles, but guided by moderators, I manage to correct my awkwardness and the result to be one for the benefit of the Wikipedia community. Thank you for your support! I wait your response. EmanuelB2019 (talk) 07:12, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi EmanuelB2019. It is great to hear that there are no COI issues! I have removed that comment from the draft. There are many existing articles that desperately need improving, so perhaps in the meantime you could benefit the Wikipedia community by helping fix them. All the best, 1292simon (talk) 08:07, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
Hello dear Simon 1292simon. Thank you for reviewing my draft. This is my first article on Wikipedia, so I didn't undersand your message "This BLP does not pass WP:NBASKETBALL (yes, unfortunately this policy is biased towards the USA) or the WP:GNG. Does the WP:SPA author have a COI that should be disclosed?" I don't have any NBA link in my article. PLEASE, can you explain me what to do in more detail. Best regards, have a nice day! Djale9 (talk) 07:56, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Djale9. Many thanks for the politeness of your message. It's frustrating to have a draft declined, so I really appreciate your efforts to remain calm about this. The key issue is that the achievements in the article don't currently pass the notability threshold. I suggest you read WP:NBASKETBALL and see if Daletic passes any of these criteria. Hope this helps. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 08:12, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
Hi. Why did you reject the article? I translated article from Russian Wikipedia.
Dunning corresponds to WP:BASIC. Its activities are interested in Kommersant, Vedomosti, Delovoy Peterburg, RBK, Forbes. This publications not authoritative? --Livelovers (talk) 16:51, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Livelovers. The standards are different in each language, so articles in Wiki.ru don't automatically get accepted in other languages. I'm not seeing references from those publications in the draft? Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 07:17, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
- Please, see section "References". --Livelovers (talk) 14:32, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
1292simon, I'm waiting for your comments. --31.173.83.94 (talk) 08:15, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Livelovers. Sorry I missed that. The AfC decision was because for the events that the article had sources for, they didn't pass the notability thresholds for a BLP. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 09:19, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
- What sources not satisfied? --Livelovers (talk) 14:50, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Livelovers. It's not an issue of the sources being reliable, it's the events that they describe. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 08:14, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
