For part of the thirteen-hour crime spree, Wortman impersonated a police officer by driving a replica police car and wearing a police uniform. An investigation into Wortman's motives is underway.^[1]^[2] Wortman obtained several firearms without a possession and acquisition licence; three from the United States, one illegally obtained from a former associate's estate, and one from Const.
