Issues on the page

There are many changes being made by IP addresses in particular. I would like to open this discussion for decisions that are controversial.

  • "Filler segments" - These are the segments used to fill the time in on the episode, and have been acknowledged by production as "filler". For example, "Kathleen sings her puzzles and patterns song". I believe that these do not need to be included in the summaries as they are regularly repeated, especially if the presenters already have a real segment in the episode.
  • Airdates - I believe that under no circumstance should airdates be added without a reference. The reference must support, at the least, a premiere and end date for the series. This also applies to VHS releases - a specific release date needs to be referenced. My main concern is that these dates have been copied straight from the Wikia page, which is a fan page. On that site there are no references and the dates shouldn't be blindly trusted.
  • Order of segments - Why are the order of segments being changed; some are being moved to the wrong episode? These are changes that make no sense and should not be made – check the episodes on YouTube for clarification.

Looking forward to discussion rather than edit wars with IP addresses. Thanks. SatDis (talk) 04:08, 28 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 13 December 2019

Keep the changes, but put the references back. I'm very sorry about the "vandalism" and everything. 2001:8003:A97B:F000:6960:FE6C:C47A:7EF7 (talk) 11:57, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This is a request to keep these changes which this IP has been edit warring to keep in. IP, you can respond to SatDis's post above. – Thjarkur (talk) 12:07, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit semi-protected}} template. Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 02:02, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
In response to keeping the references - they only support two of the weekly themes, and these are not referenced on any of the other series pages. Therefore no need to keep them. SatDis (talk) 02:43, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Fixing up some of the episodes

Why don't we do Special Days after North, South, East and West?! They've got the same stage from series 1 for the sharing stories segment, but why is Special Days aired after So Many Animals?! 2001:44B8:2FE:C000:3571:682:4D21:2165 (talk) 13:36, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sometimes episodes were filmed in one order and then aired in a different order. This list reflects the most accurate airing order currently known. SatDis (talk) 03:01, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

About the Snow Party VHS release

Hi there! I've just watched this video on YouTube about the three scenes that have been changed, along with Kathleen's playdate being cut out before Charli doing some juggling! Will somebody please try to fix that on the Hi-5 TV Wikia, from Charli being out in the rain to Charli doing some dances for the seasons, and from Charli doing the rainy day workout to Charli putting on some warm clothes?! Thank you! 2001:8003:A98C:F100:7CDA:FCFA:5CA2:6C69 (talk) 07:57, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I will remind you that Wikipedia has nothing to do with the Wikia - that's a fan site. SatDis (talk) 08:30, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
But do they know that the VHS release's section of segments has to be fixed, so that it can't be the same as the DVD release's section as well?! Will you be able to ask them to fix it, along with showing them that video that you might've just seen?! 2001:8003:A98C:F100:4077:41E2:F5D6:B2AF (talk) 11:04, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
