Amgaon Vidhan Sabha constituency is one of the 288 Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly) constituencies of Maharashtra state in central India.

Overview

Amgaon is one of the four Vidhan Sabha constituencies located in the Gondia district.[1] and comprises the entire Deori, Salekasa and Amgaon tehsils of the district. This constituency is reserved for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled tribes.[1]

Amgaon is part of the Gadchiroli-Chimur Lok Sabha constituency along with five other Vidhan Sabha segments, namely Armori, Gadchiroli and Aheri in the Gadchiroli district and Brahmapuri and Chimur in the Chandrapur district.[1] Before 2009, it used to be part of the now defunct Bhandara (Lok Sabha constituency).
