Augustus Smith was an actor and screenwriter. He wrote the story and screenplay for Junction 88 and appeared in the film.He also weote and appearwd in Drums O' Voodoo.[1] It was based on his play Louisiana.[2]

He and Oliver Foster had the lead roles in the theatrical production Walk Together Chillun.[3]

He co-wrote deveral songs for the 1941 film Murder with Music.[citation needed]
