Help me to improve an article related India and its geography

Manimajra was renamed as sector 13 legally by UT government of Chandigarh in January 2020 and by February 2020 the new name was finally declared to be written everywhere on papers. Below are links to the decision:- 1). https://m.timesofindia.com/city/chandigarh/manimajra-to-be-renamed-sector-13-residents-elated/amp_articleshow/73114749.cms .

2). https://www.hindustantimes.com/chandigarh/chandigarh-s-manimajra-is-now-sector-13/story-ploFPCA4UGpDu9ksUxLtdL.html

Being a Indian resident, i would like to contribute to this new law which was passed by our government .

It is true that the proposal had been initially opposed in december 2019. In the initial proposal, names like Sector M or Sector 26 east were proposed. Here is the link for initial proposals made :-

3)https://m.hindustantimes.com/chandigarh/manimajra-rwa-wants-number-not-m-after-sector/story-Q7ZPsdh5y120cEqlVAKuhP_amp.html

4)https://www.dnaindia.com/india/report-chandigarh-to-finally-get-sector-13-after-54-years-of-formation-2813378

(these articles were published in newspapers in 2019 which is old).

5)https://m.tribuneindia.com/news/archive/chandigarh/mani-majra-to-be-sector-m-863728 (This link i provided over here was published in Tribune India in November 2019 )

But soon the final decision was made which overruled the previous proposals and finally the new name for manimajra was concluded as sector 13 by the beginning of 2020. The next link (6th Link) was also published in Tribune India with the final decision which was declared in February 2020 :-

6)https://m.tribuneindia.com/news/chandigarh/its-official-mani-majra-is-sector-13-of-chandigarh-39042

Please help me by putting your vote in the panel discussion on the talk page section of Sector 13.

Here is an example on how to put your vote ___________.

  • Support
  • Strong Support
  • Agreed

Click on the edit tab and please copy any 1 vote you want to put from the above or you can put you vote by putting a * star symbol followed by 3 apostrophe marks ' ' ' and then writing your word for vote like support, agreed etc and finally closing it with again 3 apostrophe marks ' ' ' in the end.

Requests limit on Guild of Copy Editors request page

Hi ArnabSaha, Thank you for making requests on the Guild of Copy Editors' Requests page. Please note that in order to help as many editors as possible, we limit each editor to only two requests on the page at a time. Therefore, I have removed your third request, East Bengal FC. Once we have finished with one of your two other requests, you may add it to the page again if you like. My apologies for any inconvenience. Regards, Tdslk (talk) 00:27, 15 June 2020 (UTC)

GOCE review of Kolkata Metro

Hi ArnabSaha, I have two suggestions for things that could help make the article even better:

  1. The article used multiple names for each line of the metro, and I am not sure which name would be best. For example, "Line 1", "North–South metro", "North–South Line" and "North–South corridor" all appear to refer to the same thing. I would recommend using one name consistently throughout, and mention alternate names when you first describe each line.
  2. Some information appeared twice in the article. For instance, much of the information in "East–West metro" under the "History" section and "East–West metro (Line 2)" under the "Lines" section are the same. Reducing this would make the article easier to read.

I hope these comments are helpful. Good luck with the GAN! Tdslk (talk) 19:07, 20 June 2020 (UTC)

Tdslk, ok, and thanks a lot. ❯❯❯ S A H A 19:36, 20 June 2020 (UTC)
@Tdslk:, can you please solve the 2nd issue? i don't to make any further drastic changes to the article since it might have some grammar issues. remove the extra from "lines" section. I will solve the 1st one. ❯❯❯ S A H A 19:43, 20 June 2020 (UTC)
Hi ArnabSaha. It would be better if the second issue is handled by an editor who knows about the Kolkata Metro. If you want me to do a copy edit of a section after you change it, I would be happy to do it! Regards, Tdslk (talk) 19:52, 20 June 2020 (UTC)
@Tdslk:, i have a question regarding "Joka–Esplanade metro (Line 3)" section. why there's a discuss tag? ❯❯❯ S A H A 14:50, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
Thank you for your question! I forgot to mention it. The sentence says the area for the metro station is "2500 sq. km". Kolkata is only 1,887 sq. km! It probably should be "2500 sq. m", but I wanted to confirm that with you. Regards, Tdslk (talk) 17:02, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
Tdslk, oh, yes... i corrected it. ❯❯❯ S A H A 06:21, 22 June 2020 (UTC)

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give [[:Mohun Bagan A.C., ATK (football club)]] a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into ATK Mohun Bagan F.C.. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Your contributed article, ATK Mohun Bagan F.C.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, ATK Mohun Bagan F.C.. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – ATK–Mohun Bagan. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at ATK–Mohun Bagan. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Drat8sub (talk) 03:19, 29 June 2020 (UTC)

@Drat8sub: I didn't give any different title to any copied content. and the things, I have copied from other articles, I have attributed. check article history. ❯❯❯ S A H A 05:33, 29 June 2020 (UTC)

Hi. Thanks for your help with Mahakaran metro station. Although I wish to engage user Soumo Dutt they seem quite resistant. It is quite good that you agree that a list of connections fulfil WP:NOTTRAVEL. If there are further issues with the article I may take this to one of the wikipedia boards for further adjudication. - Master Of Ninja (talk) 10:42, 29 June 2020 (UTC)

Master Of Ninja, Hello. Soumo Dutt is rude and doesn't want to assume good faith. Leave him. As of now, there's no such issue with the article. ❯❯❯ S A H A 10:58, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
