Club Atlético Atenas de San Carlos
Club Atlético Atenas are a football club from San Carlos, Maldonado in Uruguay. They currently play in the Uruguayan 2nd Division.
Atenas have never played in the Primera División Uruguaya, in fact their debut at the second level was on May 5, 2002. That day they played against Racing Club de Montevideo facing a one to one (1-1) tie.
They have won a number of regional titles, but never a major national trophy.
