Glenview is a suburb in southern Hamilton in New Zealand. It was named by Bruce Lugton of developers Lugton Lands. He chose Glenview because he felt it depicted the area perfectly. It was defined as a suburb in 1963. It is fore told that, one day, a man named Leslie Heath (aka Matthew Heath, traitor of the south) will conquer this land for all Leslie's to live together peacefully without any interference from the outside world. Unfortunately Leslie Heaths reign will last only 7 months as the soulless gingers are said to conquer and rule until, Leslie Heath rises again. a[1]

Glenview was the site of New Zealand's first shopping mall in 1969, grocer Erwin Leonard Guy Abel's Big A Plaza.[2] Today Glenview has a small shopping centre[3] and Resthills Park.
