Aaron Zebley PROD deletion in 2006

Hi there Spangineer. I came across this page while editing and I was surprised to see that there used to be an Aaron Zebley article that was PRODed and you deleted way back in 2006. Could you check to see if the deleted content is about the same Aaron Zebley that was an FBI agent and chief of staff to Robert Mueller who then worked at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr with Mueller and is now working as part of Mueller's Special Counsel investigation (2017-present)? If so, I'd like to ask for the page and history to be undeleted so it can be expanded upon given Aaron's current notability. See this source and this source for more information. Please let me know if I should be following a different process. Thanks, - PaulT+/C 15:41, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

FYI, I posted here as well. - PaulT+/C 16:07, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, sorry for the extra notice. I didn't think you were still here! All good now. Happy editing. - PaulT+/C 18:47, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Definitely less active than I used to be! Glad that others were able to help. Thanks. Spangineerws (háblame) 18:49, 9 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. DGG ( talk ) 01:04, 20 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You uploaded, File:Marvin.olasky.portrait.ncs.jpg, where you either stated or implied that you had permission of a third party to upload it; or that evidence of such permission would be provided on request.

Unless there's some record of that permission, it's harder to confirm if any given permission is genuine. Wikipedia currently needs the permission to be explicitly proven at the time of upload, and recorded in the OTRS permission queue, for this reason.

Please read Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission, which advises on how to confirm permissions you obtained from a third party.

It is also advisable to ask the third-party what source attribution they desire, as opposed to marking the image as having been "sent personally".

If permission is not confirmed, and recorded as detailed above, the media may have to be removed so that Wikipedia stays in compliance with copyright law and policy in some jurisdictions. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 18:56, 22 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If I recall correctly, I received a personal email from Marvin Olasky in which he attached the photo and stated that it could be posted to Wikipedia. I don't have the email any longer, and I doubt that he used the proper language anyway to confirm that he understood the conditions of the release. So as you say, at this point he would need to be contacted again. Spangineerws (háblame) 19:00, 22 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2018 election voter message

Hello, Spangineer. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Beaver Field

Hello Spangineer,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Beaver Field for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Administrator account security (Correction to Arbcom 2019 special circular)

ArbCom would like to apologise and correct our previous mass message in light of the response from the community.

Since November 2018, six administrator accounts have been compromised and temporarily desysopped. In an effort to help improve account security, our intention was to remind administrators of existing policies on account security — that they are required to "have strong passwords and follow appropriate personal security practices." We have updated our procedures to ensure that we enforce these policies more strictly in the future. The policies themselves have not changed. In particular, two-factor authentication remains an optional means of adding extra security to your account. The choice not to enable 2FA will not be considered when deciding to restore sysop privileges to administrator accounts that were compromised.

We are sorry for the wording of our previous message, which did not accurately convey this, and deeply regret the tone in which it was delivered.

For the Arbitration Committee, -Cameron11598 21:04, 4 May 2019 (UTC) Template:Z83[reply]

Notice

The file File:Mexico.calavera.azucar.ncs.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

When attempting to transfer to commons, receive a was-deleted error. There already exists a similar image by the same uploader that appears to be of the same sugar skull on Commons at File:Calavera.jpg.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  ★  Bigr Tex 23:11, 23 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Penn State Dance Marathon, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:24, 11 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Spangineer. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Penn State Dance Marathon".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! JMHamo (talk) 08:34, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
