    Shortcuts

    Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in two cases. The first case is restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. In the second use case, this page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be "userfied", i.e., restored as a draft or emailed to you; this way, the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). Be clear as to which namespace is intended, when requesting a refund of a deleted article.

    This means that content deleted after discussion – through deletion processes – may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process but through deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided.

    Do not request that pages or media deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here.

    Ready Player Two

    I was wondering if the redirect for the page (which I created) can be restored —Starzoner (talk) 22:02, 8 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

    Not done Starzoner the redirect, which pointed to Ready Player One, has been replaced by an article about the novel Ready Player Two which includes a link to Ready Player One. Did you really want the article deleted and the redirect restored? That seems unlikely and unhelpful. If not, please explain just what you did want, and please ping me. Thank you.     The problem is, Starzoner, your edite created a redirect page at the title "Ready Player Two". But now at that title is Ready Player Two, an actual article about the 2020 novel. The only way to undelete your edit and make it live would be to replace the article with the redirect. It's sort of as if there was. on an empty lot, a big sign "Visit our store across the street", but then the sign was torn down and a new building was put up on that lot with a different but related store, and a sign it its front window "visit our sister store across the street, too". If someone says "this is a neat new store, but i liked toi old sign" should the owner tear down the new store to put the old sign back? That analogy isn't perfect, but it sort of gives the flavor of the issue here.
    Oh I could, technically, undelete your edit but bury the redirect ion the page history, but no one would be likely to notice it at all, and it would have no effect on the apparent of any current article. What would be the point? If you are thinking about your edit count, deleted edits count. I currently have some 50,107 edits, of which not quite 7,000 are deleted. Every experienced editor has deleted edits, there is nothing wrong with that. If in no other way, any editor who tags pages that shouldn't be on Wikipedia for deletion will have deleted edits when those pages are deleted.     NagalandExpress

    NagalandExpress Digital News is the only online news service from Nagaland State in India. With a population of around 21 lakhs, people of Nagaland depends on this. Could you please tell me what is the reason for deleting this article? It took almost two hours to make an article. It was very disappointing to see that it was removed. Can you tell me how is this relevancy decided? This news is even published in Google news within 4 months of launch, because there was no other online news service from Nagaland State.

    List of Diggnation episodes

    Soft deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Diggnation episodes. The proposed deletion criteria of "the show ended years ago" and a "fan cruft" article are both irrelevant and opinion in that order. The former could easily be applied to many of the "List of..." articles on WP, and especially as Diggnation holds a firm place in internet history this "list of headlines" as the (apparently sole) deletion vote calls it is both a journey through history of arguably some of the golden days of the internet, and also is categorically what you would expect to find on a "List of..." page.     • For this it is labelled as OTRS pending. As a non free iamge, its use is not justified as it would be replaceable. And there is no non free use rationale. However I suggest that you wait for OTRS to demonstrate if it is being released under a free license. Because it will not be usable as non-free use.     Coronapocalypse
