50- 75 A.D. Tacitus and Pliny place Serbs in the Caucasus among Iranian peoples. Their leader is Zorsines
375 A.D. Huns and Alans trigger Serbian migration to Central Europe. Roman Emperor Licinius refers to the Carpathians as "Montes Serrorum"
5th- 6th century White Serbia is established in the Elbe region of today's Germany. Serbs become slavicised. Today that region is known as Sorbia
6th century Avars and Franks subjugate the Serbs. First joint raids into the Balkans
620- 630 According to Frankish chronicler Fredegar, White Serbs joined Samo against Franks. Samo established the first Slavic Empire in Europe
630 Serbs defeat Avars. Eastern Roman Emperor Heraclius invites Serbs to settle in the provinces of Salonica and Dalmatia.
ca 680 Serbian leader, Unknown Archont dies. Serbs ackgnowledge supremacy of Byzantium and, at times, of Bulgaria.
825- 950 Foundation of the Vlastimirovic dynasty. Serbs embrace Christianity. Prince Časlav Klonimirović unites Serbian tribes against Bulgaria and Byzantium
