Gabriella Nelida "Gabi" DeMartino (born May 5, 1995) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, screenwriter and YouTuber. she is the (1/2) of the American duo Niki and Gabi, she released her debut solo single "Ever After" in 2016.

Carrer

DeMartino studied at Notre Dame High School and DeSales University where she majored in musical theatre.[2] she first started her carrer with her sisters Niki and Alex on their first YouTube Channel 00RemakeGirls, and they gained popularity after they released a music video parody of Rebecca Black's song "Friday", later In 2012, Niki and Gabi signed with AwesomenessTV and StyleHaul and created their side channel NikiandGabiBeauty (later renamed to Niki and Gabi).[3] the duo starred in the YouTube Red comedy-drama web film Dance Camp as the characters of Mia and Mya respectively.[4]

In 2015, DeMartino created her own YouTube channel Fancy Vlogs By Gab. and she broke into music industry with her debut solo single "Ever After" In 2016.[5] she also created her web-series Blood Queens, which is a spoof of the 2015 Fox series Screem Queens.[6] In July 2018, Niki and Gabi released their debut extended play Individual, and peaked at #14 on the Heatseekers Albums chart and #32 on the Independent Albums chart.[7][8] the EP included a solo single titled "Flowers" and released as the third single from the EP, the music video featured a cameo from the American media personality Paris Hilton.[9][10] later this month, Ariana Grande’s fans blew up Twitter accusing DeMartino of impersonating her after she made a video titled “I Lived Like Ariana Grande For A Day Parody", Things got even more heated when Grande herself responded to the criticism, saying “yea this ain’t it", but Grande apologized and said that she was just trying to be funny, and DeMartino was called out by YouTuber SSSnipetwolf in a video where she makes fun of Gabi's impression to Ariana.[11][12] Later in November, DeMartino appeared in the music video for Thank U, Next by American singer Ariana Grande, the video broke the record for most-watched music video in YouTube within 24 hours, officially achieving 55.4 million views on the platform in its first day.[13][14]

In February 2019, DeMartino released her Valentine's Day single entitled "Cold Room", which she revealed that it was written back in 2016.[15] In August, she was invited by American singer Trisha Paytas to her Heartbreaker Tour and performed together. In September, Gabi, Niki, Alex DeMartino and YouTuber Wot Dennis released a video on the Niki and Gabi channel titled "Going to College Dressed as Celebrities Challenge" in which American singer Normani was portrayed by a man. The video was criticised for "furthering stereotypes about black women having masculine features".[16] In November, Trisha Paytas and Gabbie Hanna went to war, after Trisha uploaded a YouTube video explaining why she can't trust Gabbie on November 9, and their mutual friend DeMartino then got involved and tried to cool the situation down, but it ended up much worse. It turns out, DeMartino had lied when Hanna asked if Paytas had spoken about her. After admitting this, DeMartino alleges that Paytas threatened her and then Gabbie accused Trisha of "blackmailing" Gabi. Trisha then said she would be suing Gabbie for defamation and it all became one giant YouTube mess.[17] but later, Paytas apologized to DeMartino and Trisha was featured on Gabi's Christmas movie Blood Queens: Little Women.[18]

In January 2020, Gabi signed with the record label Roc Nation and her debut solo studio album Beautiful Mess is set for release through them sometimes in October.[19] In February, The twin sisters Niki and Gabi have gotten into a major social media fight after Niki took to Instagram and posted a since-deleted topless photo of herself, her sister and their friends during a trip to the Bahamas, Gabi seemed upset with Niki for failing to get her permission to post the photo and for not tagging her boyfriend Collin Vogt‘s photography page. Gabi explained that he was the one who took the picture.[20] In June, DeMartino released her debut solo extended play Gabroadway, which is a musical EP that contains four covers.[21]
