KJZA (89.5 FM) is a public radio station in Drake, Arizona and the key station in the K-Jazz Radio Network. It primarily features Public Radio International programming. It is simulcast on multiple towers along Interstate 40 through Arizona, from the California border to half an hour east of Flagstaff, Arizona.
History
KJZA was approved in 2000 as KRTE; it broadcasts from Bill Williams Mountain to primarily serve Williams, Arizona. The Kingman and Prescott transmitters were approved in 2009.
Programs
KJZA simulcasts KOFA 1320 AM in Yuma on weekdays, significantly expanding its coverage footprint well beyond its normal service area. The K-Jazz network features local programming on the weekends.
