The Thief Lord is a 2006 family movie directed by Richard Claus. It is a joint production of Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc., Future Films Ltd., Comet Film and Thema Production. The film, distributed by Warner Bros., is based on the novel The Thief Lord by German author Cornelia Funke. The movie stars Jim Carter, Caroline Goodall, Rollo Weeks, Aaron Johnson III, George MacKay, Jasper Harris, Alice Connor, Lathaniel Dyer, Carole Boyd, Bob Goody, Robert Bathurst, Alexi Sayle and Vanessa Redgrave. It is rated PG and runs for 98 minutes. It was also nominated for the 2006 World Soundtrach Awards. The DVD was released on March 14, 2006, and includes the one disc-edition includes a theatrical trailer that ran in theaters in Europe and Mosca's cartoon from the movie itself.. The Thief Lord movie follows a congested version of the same plot as the book The Thief Lord.
