He owned slaves. It's fair to define him as a person who owned slaves. Do you really want to push that that's not important?
Hänschen Klein
Hi, I added this secton to Hänschen Klein:
The melody of the song is also used in a popular children's song in Japan (蝶々, Chocho) and Korea (나비야, Nabiya).
Unfortunately you have removed it due to a missing citation. It would be great if you could add it back.
I don't have a primary source for this. However, if you use Google Translate on the Japanese or Korean version of the article they will both say that Hänschen Klein's melody is used in Japan/Korean with different lyrics (about a butterfly) and that the melody is identical with the German original. Another "source" is myself as I have family in both Germany and Korea and hence know both the German and Korean version of the song, which have the same melody (surely not a conincidence).

Don't know how, but that banner is bugged and your name is on it? Honestly I don't know what happened with it but it's there.
Sea Cadets (United Kingdom) vandalism
Please wouls you examine today's uncited defamatory additions by an IP and newly created editor? I have requested temporary semi-protection, but woudl prefer anither set of eyes to revert again in case I am mistaken. I have reached number 3! Fiddle Faddle 11:56, 13 August 2020 (UTC)

Hey Materialscientist, would you mind taking a look at my question at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Nithiin1983 when you have the time? Sorry, would have left you a note earlier but I wasn't aware you have pings turned off. GeneralNotability (talk) 13:07, 13 August 2020 (UTC)
Please block for longer
https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=User_talk:85.103.40.125&oldid=972724021 This is disturbing. Please block for a month or so and delete talkpage access.--BlueCrabRedCrab 14:33, 13 August 2020 (UTC)

Edit-war
Hi. Please can you take a look at the recent edits to The Moonshiners. I've reverted twice today, dropped a note on the user's talkpage, to no avail. Maybe I'm wrong, but this doesn't look productive, and I don't want to risk a block. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 19:50, 13 August 2020 (UTC)

The Moonshiners
Ok I Edited my source to include Chapter and page number. It mentions Mike Eagan as a member of the cast. I think the imdb page is wrong, Because there is a Michael Eagan in the 2016 film they listed, but they are obviously different people.Thereal mikeeagan (talk) 21:14, 13 August 2020 (UTC)

Melbourne Storm Current Squad
Hello Meterialscientist,
I changed the formatting of the layout to align the players playing positions with their pages as well as remove the team list numbers because it does not add anything to the page, and makes the squad layout quite messy.
I can add the squad numbers to the new text if that's the reason you undid my edit, but otherwise please don't undo my edit.
Kind regards, Footot Flats97
Materialscientist, just wanted to give you a heads up I reverted your revert of User Dan Treacy's edit. We had been going back forth on their talk page about adding a citation and they finally had one. However, their first edit did not contain the source so was flagged, thus your revert. I have corrected it now. They really were not being intentionally disruptive. Let me know if you have any concerns. S0091 (talk) 18:29, 15 August 2020 (UTC)

Block?
I was blocked by you for 6 months for disruptive editing, and I have no idea why. Can you please let me know what I did? All I see is changing incorrect info to the correct info, a pretty minor change, and not in a disruptive way. The information I changed is still on the page. I’m so confused. I didn’t even know I was blocked until I went to correct another error and was told I couldn’t. Please help. Caitlinmorton (talk) 03:41, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
Pseudoscientist Gwyneth Paltrow
Hello, you reverted an edit I made describing Gwyneth Paltrow as a pseudoscientist, when she is, in fact, a pseudoscientist. I object to your stated justification for doing so (you deemed it "not constructive"). It is highly constructive in that people will more readily have access to information which is crucial for their determination of her legitimacy as someone who not only offers advice on health and wellness, but profits greatly from the sale of related products and services. I will continue to vehemently object to your objections and insist on the edit remaining, because such edits reduce the likelihood of the uninformed falling victim to her pseudoscientific claims and spending money on her line of snake oil products. Frankly, your censorship runs the risk of causing real harm. Your dismissal of my edits as attempts at "vandalism" is offensive, unfounded, and plainly wrong. Your opposition, despite your level of education, leads me to think that you lack familiarity with the extent of her unscrupulous, manipulative business practices, so before you revert my edit and throw around accusations of vandalism, I suggest you do further research or at the very least provide a compelling argument for reverting the edit. Thank you. Respectfully, — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stardig (talk • contribs)
- I reverted, but will only discuss on the article talkpage not here. --Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 12:13, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
You should unprotect that article. The only disruptive edits on it in nearly a week were all made by the same user, and the one before those was the first since July. None of these edits are anywhere near the level of disruption where we would need to apply editing restrictions for a whole year, and unnecessarily applying such restrictions stifles constructive changes such as this one. Glades12 (talk) 11:37, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
- I see that nearly all IP edits over the past year have been reverted. Materialscientist (talk) 11:39, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

Hi Material. I have a bee under my bonnet about having my edits reverted, labelled "unconstructive", and being told to "use the sandbox". I find these attitudes condescending, and think reversion is the lowest form of editing, sort of like sarcasm is to humour.
I also don't remember working on the Pratt and Whitney engine article you mentioned on my talk page, I'll go have a look. You might have the wrong person. I notice you have got a number of other people upset with blocking and reversion. Maybe time for a little self reflection?
If you don't understand an edit of mine, why not ask me what I was up to? If you think you can improve it, then tweak what I said.
Wikipedia should be a wellspring of constant improvement, not a cesspool of reversion.
