Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion
This page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.
Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in two cases. The first case is restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. In the second use case, this page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be "userfied", i.e., restored as a draft or emailed to you; this way, the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). Be clear as to which namespace is intended, when requesting a refund of a deleted article.
This means that content deleted after discussion – through deletion processes – may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process but through deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided.
Do not request that pages or media deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here.
Instructions for special cases:
- G13. Abandoned Drafts and Articles for creation submissions – see Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion/G13 for instructions.
- For JavaScript .js or .css pages, please request on the Wikipedia:Interface administrators' noticeboard.

I have redone the article from the old information, I beefed it up, and the new text is here: User talk:Evrik/draft4. Lanzi's firing was a big issue in the Scouting community and may have partially led to the BSA eventually changing their position on LGBT people. Please restore the article and the image. I can add the new text. --evrik (talk) 15:39, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Muboshgu: Can someone please make a decision? --evrik (talk) 18:33, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- Evrik, hi, didn't see that there was an unresponded to section all the way at the top. I see that Hut 8.5 userfied the content for you, and then deleted it for you per CSD U1, presumably after you got what you needed to build that draft. As I see it, there's no reason to undelete the page, as the AfD closed as delete and the draft that you have, three years later, is significantly different from what was deleted. I think the best course of action is to simply move the draft into mainspace. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:38, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Muboshgu: Thanks. Can you undelete the image? --evrik (talk) 18:41, 19 August 2020 (UTC)

Category:Villages in Aberdeen
I contested the deletion on the talk page due to the fact that I do think that there are places classified as villages in Aberdeen (per sources) see the discussion at Talk:Cults, Aberdeen#Village or Suburb. There is also a discussion on if categories can be emptied at Wikipedia talk:Categories for discussion#Where does it actually say you should not just empty a category you don't like? so I suggest restoring the members and the IP can start a full CFD if deletion is still desired. I asked the deleting admin on the 1st but haven't had a response, see User talk:Liz#Category:Villages in Aberdeen. —Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:25, 14 August 2020 (UTC)

Causa limeña
I became very discouraged when the Wikipedia police deleted my entry for this wonderful Peruvian dish. If I recall correctly, the reason given for deletion was that it was too "unimportant" for Wikipedia. I recently noticed that Causa limeña is mentioned elsewhere in Wikipedia. Since I wrote the entry, Peruvian restaurants have proliferated across U.S. and European cities, so perhaps the administrator who was offended by my work will reconsider. I am happy to work on the text to make it more acceptable if you deem it now worthy of this encyclopedia.Lastudies (talk) 19:00, 15 August 2020 (UTC) —Lastudies (talk) 19:00, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
- Lastudies, no, that's not correct. Based on your deleted contributions, you made one edit to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Causa (causa limeña) in November 2013, in which there was no article content, just the WP:AFC submission template. It was rejected because there was no content to assess, and then it was deleted after six months of inactivity as per the rules. See WP:CSD#G13. Please be nicer in the future, rather than bemoaning the "Wikipedia police" that "was offended by [your] work". – Muboshgu (talk) 20:10, 15 August 2020 (UTC)

The text is impenetrably dense and there are some referencing issues.
With the text please add some suitable paragraph breaks so that the reader is invited in. Walls of back text prevent folk from reading
"...anti-Sufism by Turkish and English medias.[2][3][4][5][6]" is a prime example of WP:CITEKILL. Instead we need one excellent reference per fact asserted. If you are sure it is beneficial, two, and at an absolute maximum, three. A fact you assert once verified in a reliable source, is verified. More is gilding the lily. Please choose the very best in each case of multiple referencing for a single point and either drop or repurpose the remainder.
The first current reference does not very the fact it is supposed to be citing, and is only a passing mention. For a living person we have a high standard of referencing. Every substantive fact you assert, especially one that is susceptible to potential challenge, requires a citation with a reference that is about them, and is independent of them, and is in WP:RS, and is significant coverage. Please also see WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources and WP:SELFPUB which has clear limitations on self published sources. Providing sufficient references, ideally one per fact cited, that meet these tough criteria is likely to make this draft a clear acceptance (0.9 probability). Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that the person is not suitable for inclusion, certainly today.
Please apply that principle to all your referencing

. Grn1749 This draft does not, yet, demonstrate that Compere is notable (as Wikipedia uses that term). Please add additional cited sources to those originally inserted by Amylandis before moving this to the main article space or submitting it to a review by the articlesd for creation project. This draft has not (yet) been made part of the AfC project. I have done some copy editing and added bibliographic data to the sources, and removed the citation to the IMDB, which Wikipedia does not consider to be a reliable source. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 20:07, 16 August 2020 (UTC)- DESiegel Can you help me understand why you say the current sources don't prove Sasha Compere is notable? I read the Wikipedia Notability guidelines and it says there need to be multiple external, reliable sources that reference the person. Two of the current sources only cite Compere in passing, but one of the articles cited is exclusively about her hire on the show Miracle Workers (the Wikipedia page of which shows Compere to be the only series regular without a Wikipedia page), and the fourth source contains an interview with her. Thanks in advance for helping me understand what's needed. Grn1749 (talk) 11:16, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
- Grn1749 I did not do the equivalent of a full AfC review, just a quick note. But based on that and a second look after your message, I don't think this is quite ready for the article mainspace yet. The Variety piece is surely more than a passing mention, but it is a bit light perhaps to constitute Significant coverage]. But ]even granting it full value, the Collider piece is, as you said, an interview, and interviews are generally considered not to count as independent sources, which are normally needed to establish notability. In that case there is some comment from the reporter before the interview starts, but it is limited, and I would at best count that as the equal of 1/2 of a full source. The others are, as you mention, passing mentions which do not count for notability. The usual rule of thumb three reasonable quality independent reliable sources with significant coverage, although two may suffice if they are of particularly high quality. Add two additional sources comparable to the Variety' piece and I think this would be over the line of acceptance. Of course, a different editor doing a review might have a different opinion, this is to some extent a judgement call. Anyway, that is why I wrote what I did. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 14:16, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
- DESiegelThat makes a lot of sense. Thanks for breaking it down for me, as I'm relatively new here (and you've already helped me once before!). Since this draft was created, Compere has been a series regular in the HBO show Love Life, so I expect I can find more sources for her. But, for the sake of argument, let's say I can't find more articles beyond passing references in reviews of the shows she's been in. When we look at the two TV shows she's been a series regular in, Miracle Workers and Love Life, in both those shows, she is the only series regular who does not have a Wikipedia page. Doesn't that suggest her career makes her notable even if her media coverage doesn't reflect that? Given that Compere is a Black woman, racial and gender bias may mean she has less coverage than a white male actor with comparable TV credits. Therefore, couldn't her career on its own justify a Wikipedia page, in the hopes that Wikipedia not reflect the biases found elsewhere on the web and in the media? Or, let me know if there's a different space where this kind of discussion is better addressed. Grn1749 (talk) 14:41, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
- Note, I'm asking this not just to pose random what-ifs, but because my primary interest in editing Wikipedia is to address under-coverage of women and people of color, so I'm trying to learn what the community's thinking is on these issues. Grn1749 (talk) 14:43, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
- Grn1749 In my view, the best approach is to look for those additional sources. If they can be found and addede, the issue is setteld. If not you could submit for approval and debate the issue if a reviewer declines, or move directly to mainspace and perhaps debate the issue at a [p[WP:AFD|deletion discussion]].
- There is systematic bias in the world, and since Wikipedia bases its coverage on what reliable sources have written, that bias must be reflected to some extent in Wikipedia's coverage of topics. Wikipedia does not exist to right great wrongs. Wikipedia's inclusions standards should not, IMO, be modified to include people who have been subject to bias when they do not meet the usual standards. The question is not worthiness, but reliable coverage. We include an article about Hitler, who was surely not worthy, but was very significant and had lots of coverage. We do not include Jane Doe (fictional) who was saintly and helped many, but was quite unknown outside the small town where she lived. The above is my own opinion -- I cannot speak for the community as a whole. But i believe it reflects the views of many and has current consensus.
- In future, discussions such as this would be better on the draft's talk page, Draft talk:Sasha Compere . In fact I will copy this exchange there, so that it remains with the draft. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 14:56, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

- Not done Clumie This was deleted under G11 (promotion) and G12 (copyright issues). It was not deleted via G13 (expired draft). (It was also in the wrong name space, but that is a comparatively minor issue.) Under those circumstances, it cannot be restored through this process. You may ask the deleting admin, Jimfbleak about it. If you are not satisfied, or if there is no response after several days, you may take the matter to Deletion review. However, I would not expect anyone to undelete unless the previous deletion is judged to have been totally mistaken. You could start a new draft if you choose, being careful to avoid promotional language and content, and to write in your own original words, not copying fro0m another site.
- If "Michelle Baherier" was not the page you intended to ask for the restoration of (your request was not entirely clear), please specify exactly what page or article you want restored and why. I see that you edited several pages that have been deleted, but none seem to have been deleted under G13. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 16:08, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

Champion (League of Legends)
Requesting for the page to be restored into draftspace —Prisencolin (talk) 18:12, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- Prisencolin, the AfD addressed draftification and some editors were opposed to it, so I have to decline this request. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:25, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- Not done – this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Champion (League of Legends), it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion. After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:25, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- The article was actually deleted by an admin through WP:A7. In the event that @Fastily: declines a restoration request will it be able to be restored here, can it be restored through here afterwards? I don’t believe a consensus of opposing editors is allowed to censure a topic from existing in draft space, where notability requirements basically don’t exist .-—Prisencolin (talk) 19:26, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- Prisencolin, I believe that if Fastily doesn't do it, you can go to deletion review. – Muboshgu (talk) 23:15, 19 August 2020 (UTC)

Template:Tfd instructions
The template was discussed at TfD, with the outcome being, effectively, merge and delete. After the merge was done, the history should have been preserved for attribution (as the standard solution per WP:Merge and delete). The template was tagged for G6 deletion, but I removed the tag and turned the template into a redirect. Now I see that the template has been deleted nonetheless. Ping to the closer of the discussion. Not pinging the deleted admin per the instructions in the edit notice on their talk page. – Uanfala (talk) 19:59, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- (Non-admin closer of the discussion) I don't see how the outcome of the discussion is "merge and delete". The nomination recommended "substituting and deleting", the template creator had "no objection" to the nomination for substitution and deletion, and the final !vote was to "subst and delete as is done for other templates". When closing the discussion, given the unanimity of the participants, I therefore substituted the template and nominated it for deletion pursuant to the outcome of the deletion discussion ({{db-xfd}}). Please let me know if you have any questions. Best, —Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 22:20, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply. This is not about your close or your interpretaion of the discussion, it's about how that outcome should be carried out. This is explained at WP:Merge and delete. – Uanfala (talk) 22:24, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
Just to clarify what might seem like an obvious technical point: "substing" here refers to substituting the template onto the page, that effectively means copying its content there, and it is a form of merging. – Uanfala (talk) 22:28, 19 August 2020 (UTC)

Nirajan Pradhan
I am planning to write an article about Nirajan Pradhan. Unfortunately, the article was deleted in 2018 and I found that he is quite a popular actor Nepalese movie/Kollywood. I already have done some workout about this article and I want to write about him again. —Bijay Chaurasia (Talk) 09:07, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Bijay chaurasia: do you want the original version restored to a draft somewhere, or do you just want to write a new article? The fact an article was deleted doesn't prevent you from writing a new article about the same topic. As long as a new version addresses the reason for deletion it won't be deleted again. Hut 8.5 12:09, 20 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Hut 8.5: Thank you Yes I want the original version restored to draft so that I can address the reason for deletion.--Bijay Chaurasia (Talk) 14:15, 20 August 2020 (UTC)

Gravitational coupling constant
There are numerous articles referring to the gravitational coupling constant as the gravitational force between two electrons. This isn't some esoteric concept, but quite common in quantum gravity discussions. See e.g. https://arxiv.org/pdf/1707.06036.pdf https://vixra.org/pdf/1604.0198v2.pdf https://www.nature.com/articles/265710a0#:~:text=SIMPLE%20arguments%20involving%20gravitational%20fragmentation,5%C3%9710%E2%88%9239). —82.15.216.70 (talk) 12:21, 20 August 2020 (UTC)

My article has been deleted after me and my team added what the nominators want. The nominators also have less knowledge about this subject and rely in outdated sources such as https://allworldceleb.com/mrfreshasian-net-worth-wiki-bio-age-height-real-name/ . If there is any problems I will fix them, please restore my article. —Kalabsm insta (talk) 00:52, 21 August 2020 (UTC)

William L. “Corn Pop” Morris
The article was deleted for the stated reason that the subject is not sufficiently notable to justify having an article. The article should be restored because the subject is highly notable. The subject was focus of hundreds of new articles and tv news programs after former Vice President Joe Biden discussed Mr. Morris at length in a speech in 2019 while Vice President Biden was campaigning for President. Even President Donald Trump has discussed Mr. Morris in speeches and in other public forums. William L. “Corn Pop” Morris is substantially more notable than the subject of many Wikipedia articles. —Number9060862 (talk) 02:20, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Number9060862: This article was moved to Draft:William L. “Corn Pop” Morris by Loksmythe, who stated that it was undersourced. Looking at the article, it only uses one source - which is not enough to establish notability on its own. You'd need more coverage to establish notability. My recommendation is to work on adding and improving the article in the draftspace before moving it live, as this would give you more time to work on it. It looks like Loksmythe added an AfC tag, so putting it through the Articles for Creation process is also an option. This would take considerably longer time, but it would be reviewed by another editor before it's moved live. Offhand there's also this being a mention to consider - it may end up that Morris may not be independently notable of the Biden campaign itself and as such, should only be mentioned in the main article. Edward "Ted" Gray
I originally submitted this page in 2012. It is a brief biography of my father who was a local historian and published a number of books. It was initially rejected, in part because he was still alive - fair enough. However, he has since died in 2018 and I was wondering if an updated version of the page could be considered for publication? I am not very familiar with the Wikipedia processes and the updated version of the page is present on my personal user page. —Petergray4045 (talk) 11:14, 21 August 2020 (UTC)
