Sorin Paliga

Viorel-Sorin Paliga (b. June 21, 1956, Braniștea, Dâmbovița County) is a linguist, university professor, writer, member of the Writers' Union (Bucharest branch) and Romanian politician, former mayor of Sector 3 of Bucharest between June 1996 and June 2000 from the PNL.[1] He studied Czech and English at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Bucharest. He received his doctorate in 1998 with the work Roman and Pre-Roman Influences in the Southern Slavic Languages.
