For the movie, see The Paper Template:Spoiler Brief summary: Squidward gives a piece of paper to SpongeBob, and promises that he doesn't want it back. But when SpongeBob has lots of fun with it, Squidward begins to regret the promise and has to think of a way to get the paper back!

Plot

Squidward throws a bubble gum wrapper on SpongeBob's lawn. When SpongeBob discovers it, he asks Squidward if he can keep it. Squidward immediately tells him he can. SpongeBob then starts doing incredibly fun things with the paper. Squidward becomes so jealous that he eventually trades everything he has to get it back.

  • Squidward: Take it SpongeBob, take it PLEASE. And promise me no matter how much I may beg, and plead, and cry... DON'T give the paper back to me. EVER.
SpongeBob: So I'll take that as a possible no? (Squidward slowly closes the door on Spongebob) Squidward? Squidward? (through door) Okay, Squidward! That's a promise I'll just have to keep! (to the paper) Ah, Mr. Paper. I am so lucky to have a friend like Squidward!
