ABSA - Aerolinhas Brasileiras (IATA: M3ICAO: TUScall sign: ABSA Cargo) [1] is a cargo airline based in São Paulo, Brazil. It operates services throughout South America with some flights extending to the United States.

History

The airline was established and started operations in June 1995. In November 2001 LAN Airlines bought a majority stake (73.3%) in the company. It was formerly known as Brasil Transair - Transportes Charter Turismo.

LAN Airlines takes the airline’s 767 orders to 12 aircraft.

The revelation comes as the first of the 12 aircraft batch, a -300F, was delivered to LAN’s freight affiliate Absa Cargo. A second 767 freighter is scheduled for delivery in October with the remainder of the 767s due be delivered to LAN and its affiliates by October 2008.
