Vivien Zapf

Vivien Zapf is a research scientist at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. She received her bachelor's degree in physics with computer science from Harvey Mudd college in 1997 and a PhD in University of California, San Diego in 2003.[1] Zapf studies Multiferrics and Quantum Magnetism.[1] In 2017, she was elected as a Fellow of the American Physical Society for her contribution to the understanding of the quantum mechanical properties of semiconductors.[2] She is on the management committee at the Center for Molecular Magnetic Quantum Materials at the University of Florida.[3]
