'Medb (pronounced [mɛðv])'... but ð isn't listed on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/Irish.

Conchubar

Where does it say that Mebh married Conchubar? There's nothing about that in the Tain. Celsiana 02:10, 10 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And who is Conchubar son of Arthur? Conchubar mac Nessa was the son of Cathbad the Druid. Did Mebh's son kill some other person named Conchubar instead?

There's a lot more stories in the Ulster Cycle than the Táin. Follow the links. --Nicknack009 19:12, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:NOTPORTAL - it almost smacks of self-promotion or farming hits. I understand the desire for Medb stories, but the reader can find them from a single link to the website(s) and look for the rest while there. Not only that, there are a number of other sites that can provide Medb lore that could be listed as well, but too much space is already taken with the extant ones. She is a prominent figure, so there is no lack of info on her around the web. How about some variety? LovelyLillith (talk) 04:12, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Removing those links, as you have tried to do, is the definition of pedantry: making the article less useful for the sake of enforcing a rule. Medb is a literary character, the literature in which she appears is available on the web, the links enable the reader to follow that up and do their own further reading if they wish. If there's a rule against that it's a stupid rule and should be ignored. If you want to replace some of them with links to the same stories on other websites for the sake of variety, you are free to do so yourself. Don't delete someone else's efforts to try and force other editors to do work you're not prepared to do yourself. --Nicknack009 (talk) 08:43, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
