I need help with protection from the Wikipedia Copyright police. My photo of Ghez was deleted even though I posted that I had an email with her permission to use it. The public domain graphic of the star pattern at the Galactic Center was also deleted by them. Rather than them using the meat axe approach, they should make it a bit easier to upload and use photos and graphics. They litter my user page with their warnings.Trojancowboy (talk) 03:10, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There's no copyright tag. That alone will get an image deleted in one week. Also you claim permission but provide no evidence to support your claim. As it stands now you image will be delete again in 7 days. Eeekster (talk) 03:58, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia needs a Citizens Review Board for their copyright police. In the alternative, new copyright police and/or a new copyright police chief are in order.Trojancowboy (talk) 14:12, 7 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

For which paper?

Does anyone know for which paper she got the Nobel prize? Is it this one: Ghez, Andrea M.; Klein, B. L.; Morris, M.; Becklin, E.E. (1998). "High Proper Motions in the Vicinity of Sgr A*: Evidence for a Massive Central Black Hole". Astrophysical Journal. 509 (2): 678–686. ??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.64.228.98 (talk) 12:06, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Removed fourth Woman reference

I've removed the fact she was the fourth woman to receive the award. This brings it in line with Donna Strickland who it doesnt list that she was the third to win. we also dont list which men were seccond third e.t.c on their pages so it makes the pages more consitent. Also i would argue that being the fourth at something is an insignificant thing to list, by that point it is becoming routine. 85.159.132.48 (talk) 10:32, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Being only the fourth woman in over a century's worth of prizes is noteworthy, and the news has treated it as such [1][2][3]. And the article on Donna Strickland does mention the fact that she was third, further down. In this case, it flows naturally enough in the lede that a mention can be included without overburdening the sentence. XOR'easter (talk) 17:03, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Another resource

I am not sure yet where exactly to work this in, but this recent Astrobites article has really nice, understandable details on her research: https://astrobites.org/2020/10/13/the-nobel-prize-in-physics-2020-andrea-ghez/ [4] --Astrosaur (talk) 19:46, 15 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
