It was an extreme success and sold approximately 250,000 copies in the first two weeks of release. By the end of 2011, 600,000 copies or more had been purchased.[5] The game climbed to the top ten sales charts for PC, Android, iPhone, iPad, MacOS, Xbox 360, and the PlayStation 3.[6] The mobile version of the game, Dungeon Defenders: First Wave, was one of the first Unreal Engine 3 games to be released on iOS and the first on Android devices.[7] Dungeon Defenders: Second Wave, a remastered version of First Wave, was released on October 14th, 2011 for Android devices and on November 3rd, 2011 for iOS devices.[8] In late 2019, after almost ten years, the final update for Dungeon Defenders was released.[9]
