Broadcast
The planned premiere was scheduled to air on March 23, 2020, as part of the network's Kapamilya Gold afternoon block to replace of Sandugo,[6] but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ABS-CBN shutdown and franchise denial.[8][9] Instead, the series eventually aired on Kapamilya Channel[10] and premiered on August 17, 2020, as part of the network's Primetime Bida evening block.[11] As of October 2020, Ang sa Iyo ay Akin is also available on A2Z Channel 11.
During the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon, Iza Calzado was reported to be hospitalized on March 25, 2020 due to pneumonia and tested for COVID-19.[12] Three days later, she was confirmed to have afflicted with the virus disease.[13] After another test, Calzado tested negative for COVID-19 and was discharged from the hospital on March 30, 2020.[14]
Reception
Zaijian Jaranilla and Chantal Videla was supposedly part of the casts for Season 2 portraying the children of Jodi Sta. Maria and Iza Calzado as Jacob and Hope respectively but was pulled out from the cast for a new project. Instead, they were replaced by Grae Fernandez and Kira Balinger in the final casting.
