Shanghai General Motors Company Limited is a subsidiary of General Motors, and manufactures and sells automobiles in China. GM partnered with Shanghai Automotive to set up the company, which sells Hummer, Buick, and Cadillac vehicles. In 2003, China became the second largest single market for General Motors, and GM Shanghai has a 13% market share in China, second only to Volkswagen Group China among foreign carmakers.

In the future, it is likely that entire new vehicles will be engineered by GM and SAIC's Pan-Asia Technical Automotive Center for GM Shanghai to build.
