Edward Haydn Higgins is a jazz pianist born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on February 21, 1932. He initially studied privately with his mother and then at University. After this he did work in Chicago clubs and later worked at the London House there. After that he led several small bands.

In 1966 he was a founder of Dunwhich Records and he has also had success with Japan's Venus Records label.

He is most known as a soloist. However he has played with Coleman Hawkins, Freddie Hubbard, and others.

Eddie (Haydn) Higgins was born and raised in New England. Started his proffessional career in chicago studying at Northwestern University Music School. 20 years worked at jazz clubs including the Brass Rail, Preview Lounge, Blue Note, Cloister Inn and Jazz Ltd. Playing opposite the biggest jazz stars of the 50's and 60's, including Stan Getz, Oscar Peterson, Dizzy Gillespie, Errol Garner, George Shearing, Cannonball Adderley, Bill Evans and many others. In 1970, Eddie Higgins moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida which he spends summers on cape cod. In 1988 Eddie married Meredith d'Ambrosio, a pianist/vocalist/artist well known at the time in Europe. Much recently Eddie Higgins has released albums in Japan and Taiwan such as "Again" with a ballareena on the cover
