Hi there!

I’ve just started the process of becoming a Wikipedia volunteer editor. Feeling a bit lost about how to proceed (and am telling myself that it’s perfectly normal to feel this way at the beginning).

First, a bit about me. I’m a copywriter at an ad agency in Boston. I also do a bit of copywriting and content writing on the side. More on that later.

I love cats — but not cat jewelry, cat handbags, cat umbrellas or any of the other cat-inspired gifts I get at Christmas.

Chances are, I’m older than you. Let’s just say I can remember life before the internet.

I hate to exercise and I’m easily the second-least athletic person in Massachusetts. Who’s the first? My husband and obvious soulmate.

I love to read. Since most non-fiction books are badly written, I stick mostly to fiction.

Despite the fact that I read a lot and write for a living, I’m a terrible speller. No, really. My best guess at spelling a word often stumps Microsoft Word.

The primary reason I’ve begun this process is that one of my freelance clients asked me to help create a Wikipedia page for her company. I know, I know, Wikipedia frowns on this sort of thing. I’ve explained that to her, but she’d like to try and I’m game, so here we are.

Fingers crossed.
