Marriage of the Virgin (Campin)

I get where you are coming from, but can we let this one slide. Your revert also includes changes I made, and as its a new article by an other new editor, lets not marr their expeirence. Later. Ceoil (talk) 11:59, 28 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I’ve not reverted any of your edits, only the edit https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Marriage_of_the_Virgin_(Campin)&diff=990987884&oldid=990770030, which is by a sock. Have a look at the sock edit and my reversion and you’ll see. If you really, really want to revert again, I promise not to intervene again, but it sends the wrong message to the sock if people defend them. 109.249.185.105 (talk) 12:39, 28 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ya, ok. But where do we go from here. Franky the article was not very well written to begin with, Campin is one of my favourite painters and one way or the other, I'm going to put those changes back. For the love of Jesus can you let this one instance slide. Note, we are both on 3RR at this stage and each liable tobe blocked shortly....I wont tell anybody if you don't. Also, I won't want to go to page protection, as you seem to be acting in good faith, and it would be cheap. But please! Can we keep these specific edits! Ceoil (talk) 12:45, 28 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is that many of the edits are not good (adding spaces and line breaks is something this sock has been doing for some time). I’ve already said that I will not intervene on that page again, so if you want to just revert the bad and the passable, I’ll leave it to you. 109.249.185.105 (talk) 13:37, 28 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ok thanks. I don't really understand adding spaces and line breaks, so will just revert to your version, and copy edit again, bearing in mind some of the additions re prose...its a short article anyway. Glad we are agreeing now, it was always clear you were acing in good faith. Ceoil (talk) 21:51, 29 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As you are edit-warring on this article from two different IPs, I have partial-blocked you from this article only for a short while. You may still edit the talk page. Black Kite (talk) 22:00, 29 November 2020 (UTC) Black Kite I’m blocked on all pages of the encyclopedia until March 2021? For being concerned that an editor was deleting over 30000kb of information from a page and then was edit warring with his friends to drive off an IP editor? I know Wikipedians are dismissive and aggressive to IP editors, but this seems overkill. By the way, I know the so-called civility policy is a laughable waste of time (particularly when used to insult IP editors), but being described as the disruptive IP and being accused in these edits of socking, “vacuous Wikilawyering” and being a “know-nothing”. A different editor also accused me here of being a sock. And I’m the one blocked from the entire encyclopedia until March 2021? Wikipedia, the encyclopedia anyone can edit unless they are an IP who runs into a self-protecting group of bullies who tag-team and insult their way to getting an IP blocked. What a bloody joke this place is. 109.249.185.105 (talk) 00:02, 1 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
