Royal Naval Supply and Transport Service

The Royal Naval Supply and Transport Service, or RNSTS, is the civilian-manned logistics service that supports the British Royal Navy and Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA). It is part of the MOD (Navy).

The RNSTS is responsible for the maintenance, distribution and clerical oversight of all forms of stores between depot and ship. This includes:

Some RNSTS personnel serve at sea on some RFA replenishment ships. During the Falklands War the RNSTS was responsible for supplying the task force, as well as pressing commercial ships such as the Atlantic Conveyer into military service.

The head of the RNSTS is the Director General Supply and Transport (Navy), or DGST(N).
