When describing his thematic process, Borrás requires "Curiosity and in the studio: order".[8] He uses certain sound systems to better inform his artistic practices, Electronic music and sounds usually played in the studio.[9] Talking further, he describes his mother's outlook as a key influence:

"The observation when I was a kid and the early fascination of the way my mother saw the world when she lived: in a deeply holistic, artistic, brutal, combative, feminist, and nonconformist way and of her wild defense and love for nature. That was art in many ways."[10]

Borrás describes a disconnect between technology and nature, for example Ergonomic Shape (2016) in which a block of granite is supported on a medicine ball,[11] or the Stones series (2015) in which the artist disables tactile screens by tying them to large pieces of quartz.[12]
