Beta Ho To Aisa is a 1994 hindi film directed by Late C.P. Dixit, presented by Babubhai latiwala of Bombino video & produced by Late Praveen Khanna; Govinda's brother in law. Starring Govinda, Varsha Usgaonkar, Gulshan Grover and Raza Murad in pivotal roles its fully shot in Mumbai and Kerala.[1]

Cast

Story

Anand is a forest officer in Ramgarh with his pregnant wife Laxmi raising his two adolescent sons; Suraj and chandar, a loyal domestic help Dinu and his son Raju whom Anand and Laxmi have bought up with like their own. When anguished J K and Anand spots bandits looting gold; they hunt them down taking over the bounty. Anand tricks JK and hides the same arousing JK's wrath who kidnaps him for its information though not before he has gunned down his loyal servant Dinu too thus forcefully displacing Anands family to Mumbai. A young Raju takes to the Robin Hood life to bring up his master's family he considers his own. He seldom crosses path with the notorious thugs whom he hoodwinks along with his accomplice Bantu thus instigating their master JK. Raju and Jk's daughter Mini fall in love, while JK's empire drives Suraj and Chandar to corruption. Things turn bizarre when Raka, working under cover with JK though hand in glove with Raju and Bantu whom he has grown up with is spotted as corrupt in JK's gang and killed in cold blood by JK's son Rakesh. Suraj proves him innocent thus earning Mini's hand in marriage. Meanwhile Laxmi discovers Raju's short cut ways and abandons him though Raju's repentance does bring his mother and sister back though his sister is raped and her groom killed on the cusp of their marriage. Raju avenges but an unjust catastrophe befalls. Jk again saves Rakesh but bewilders him by the truth that he has bought up niece Mini in the lust for riches. How Raju and JK connect dramatically to their destinies mysteriously over an old Anand forms the climax of the film.

Production

Babubhai latiwala partnered with late Praveen khanna after an event 'Govinda ala re' also featuring Johnny lever held at Shanmukhananda hall. The film also took shape because of a song that late Ravindra Jain had composed on the greatness of mothers. Film songs were choreographed by Master Kamal and Vijay Oscar; while action was by Master Rashid khan. During the waterfall song picturisation Govinda had his leg tied to a rope to avoid drowning or being swept away by the current.
