Jammu and Kashmir Awami National Conference was founded by former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Ghulam Mohammad Shah after splitting from Jammu & Kashmir National Conference.[1] It is currently headed by his wife Khalida Begum.[2] JKANC is currently part of the Gupkar Alliance.[3] Awami national confrence also participated in Jammu and kashmir DDC elections
