Rajputisation

Hi Nizil, on a number of Rajput clan pages (Jethwa, Jadeja possibly others) there is a user who is adding a pre-written paragraph about Rajputisation regardless of whether it applies to the specific clan or not using the same sources in each (again regardless of whether it is related or not). Is there anyway to contest this?TSAray (talk) 21:36, 7 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@TSAray:, Sorry for late reply. Please give me link of article or revision where it happened. So I can investigate. -Nizil (talk) 06:52, 16 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

please rename krishna janmsthan temple as krishna janmbhoomi

i had earlier renamed it but you changed its name back .So i want to have a formal and polite discussion. Hindus believe that place to be krishna janambhumi(birthplace like ram janmbhoomi) evan hindi wiki title page is कृष्ण जन्म भूमि. Even U.P government also calls it as( JANMBHOOMI https://mathura.nic.in/tourist-place/shri-krishna-janambhumi/) You would not be knowing hindu culture but hindus believe it so that is true. Also you deleated eidgah mosque page just because u want to hide truth and are biased.Whwn even congress historians are saying aurangzeb destryed the mosque.\ You are deleating it If you are a true deserving wiki admin donnt block me and wwrite the truth. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/astrology/religious-places/unknown-facts-about-krishna-janmabhoomi/articleshow/68206163.cms

@Redmu3212:, thank you for engaging in discussion. First, I am not Wikipedia administrator and I have not deleted Eidgah article either. So you should contact the concerned person for it. Ragarding title, Janmasthan and Janmabhumi are the same thing. Both mean 'place of birth'. So there is no point in changing the name. "Janmasthan" is kept because the official website of the temple call itself "Janmasthan" temple. Anyway both are same thing so it is irrelevant. If you have any compelling argument for changing name, engage in the discussion on talkpage where others will participate. I think the name change is unnecessary. Nizil (talk) 11:40, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Krishna Janmabhoomi also redirect to the same article. Nizil (talk) 11:53, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding "still exist" which you keep adding, it is already clear that it still exist so there is no need to write it. It is already mentioned in the next sentences that the new temple complex was built adjacent to "mosque". So it is self-evident that it is still there. Nizil (talk) 12:01, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

still exist then let it be there to make it easy to understand — Preceding unsigned comment added by Redmu3212 (talkcontribs) 21:29, 18 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi.. (personal question)

Where do you stay? I stay at around tardeo Mumbai...

@Rishabh.rsd: Well, it is not a good place to reveal my personal information. Most Wikipedians do not reveal much about their personal lives. Though I can tell you that I am interested in Gujarat and Gujarati culture. I am familiar with and interested in Jainism topics as well. Feel free to collaborate with me or ask for help/advice. Wikipedia have plenty of places where help are available. Do read guidelines and policies or at least give them some cursory glance so you can learn. I will be happy to help. Regarding Niruben Amin Page

Hi Nizil Shah,

I am approaching you with regards to a few statements noticed in the Early Life section of Niruben Amin page. Regarding two statements that say, “She was married but later separated from her husband” and “During her final college year, her husband died under suspicion of suicide,” I had talked with the author (Peter Flugel) of the academic source provided for these statements. I had recently e-mailed him asking to change or remove them from his scholarly works in good faith, as they seem to be against her real-life story. Well, he has replied that he will consider doing so in future publications. He cannot do anything about old publications, perhaps as that needs republishing, which is a time-consuming affair. So, can you consider removing these two statements from her page? Can the due and undue weight policy of Wikipedia, specifying that a viewpoint held by small minority even if proved is considered non-substantial, be applied here?Dipalig (talk) 10:58, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Dipalig:, thank you for contacting me. These two sentences does not fall under undue weight policy because it is not about viewpoints. Flugel had told you that he will "consider" your opinion but has not accepted it or have not published it either. We can not cite such conversation as a reference. You had only asked him to to change or remove them from his scholarly works in "good faith", as they seem to be "against her real-life story." I don't understand why did you asked him to remove it in "good faith". Are two sentences which you have mentioned true? Nizil (talk) 14:13, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Really appreciate your prompt reply. However, I wish to inform you that you have misunderstood what I am trying to say. ‘In good faith’, here, means without accusing the author of his work (being humane) while convincing him to have faith in what I was telling him about Niruma’s life incidents and their impact on the followers. It is not humane to hurt the author’s work sentiments in order to convince him. While conveying to the author, I did not want to blame or accuse him, which means keeping good faith in him that he will understand my talks. Yes, we cannot cite such conversation as reference. However, I am sharing it with you only for your reference, as you have been reverting the removal of these sentences quite frequently by stating that the source is academic. I have also stated that the author shared his consent to consider not adding such statements in future publications. It is obvious that he will not go ahead and take the pain of removing from his existing works. So, if the author has understood and is willing to not use such statements in future publications, then why should we spread something wrong or non-substantial about a spiritual lady who is popular even after leaving the mortal body? So, I had requested you to consider removing ONLY those statements from Wiki page, nothing else! Dipalig (talk) 15:12, 12 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
