India has sent athletes to every celebration of the Youth Olympic Games expect for the 2020 winter games. The Indian Olympic Association is the National Olympic Committee for the India.[1]

The Indian athletes have won a total of 23 medals (3 of them gold) at the Summer Youth Olympic Games. India had its best performance in the 2018 summer games, winning thirteen medals including three gold.[2] The country has not yet won a medal at the Winter Youth Olympic Games.[3]
