Sethi (sometimes spelled Seth) is a surname that is found among the Punjabi Khatris of India .[1] The surname is also found among Arora.[2]

Sethi is derived from the Sanskrit word "Sreshta" meaning "Pure" or "Superior" . [3][4][page needed]
