Needs some work
Nice article - assuming someone is looking for this much detail - but it needs some work. Commas seem to be a little out of control to me making for a very choppy read. Also, the usage of "two" vs. "2", etc. is very inconsistent. I've also seen a few misspellings including some player names that sent me scrambling to baseball-reference.com to find out who it was supposed to refer to. I'll do a few of the glaring changes that I want to see but I'd want to find out if anyone is looking for this much detail before getting further entrenched. —Wknight94 (talk) 23:25, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
Also, the stats of Burdette cordoned off by themselves seems awkward and very non-standard. I'm looking through other individual World Series articles preparing to overhaul World Series itself and this one is standing out as one that was given a lot of loving attention - but also one that doesn't quite work and definitely doesn't fit with the rest. —Wknight94 (talk) 23:31, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
Take a look at the section leveling as well. —Wknight94 (talk) 23:35, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
- I have attempted to give the article a thorough once-over, which took care of a lot of the copyediting needs (parallel structure, consistent numerals, etc.). I felt the tone was very sports-editorial-y and tried to trim the fat a little bit in that regard. Obviously, my feelings won't be hurt if someone wants to add some of that back in. I am also NOT familiar with baseball in this time period so wasn't able to confirm any of the spelling of the players' names. (ESkog)(Talk) 05:54, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- I did some more trimming based on comments on this page. More may be required. No Guru 19:18, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Did you notice that? This was still in the pattern of A.L. team opening at home in odd-numbered year. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.63.16.20 (talk) 18:16, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
