This:

The title of the Honegger piece Pacific 231 refers to the French designation of this wheel arrangement

was changed to this:

The title of the Honegger piece Pacific 231 honors the French designation of this wheel arrangement

I'm afraid I don't know what "honors" means here, so I've changed it back. As far as I'm aware, Honegger wasn't attempting to write a hymn of praise to French nomenclature. --Camembert

After some thought, changed again to "reflects", which I think is probably better than both. --Camembert

Discography

I have inserted the recordings listed at the main page into a table which can be found at the separate page Arthur Honegger Discography. Unless anybody objects I will delete the list of recodings at the main page. I believe that would facilitate an easier reading.--Classickol 17:50, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As noone objected I have removed the list.--Classickol 07:01, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't he called Honneger though? Mike0001 21:34, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, it's spelled Honegger. ErinKM 04:41, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I know the Chorale tune in the 2nd symphony is not by Bach but is an original composition by Honegger. I may be wrong but many of the chorale tunes attributed to Bach are not by him but tunes he used and arranged. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.124.81.210 (talk) 20:21, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why no mention...

... of his being a founding member of the Société musicale indépendante? 2401:D006:A202:7E00:4C9F:F80D:5342:F3A0 (talk) 01:42, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you have a source for that claim, you should add this to the article. However, I note that a) the French article on Honegger doesn't mention this; b) Honegger was bout 18 years old in 1909/1910 and, according to this and the French article, was enrolled in Zurich in those years. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 03:31, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
